In-laws also own DVC and they are driving me crazy!

While I think being an associate would make life easier on them, especially since I am a SAHM, and can make calls right when MS opens, it is not my place to ask, and they have never offered. It is a good idea though!

Do you think they know its an option? Just wondering if they really know the ins and outs of their membership enough to know this exists...

While it might be too late for this vacation, if it were me and my inlaws - I would probably volunteer the next time they whined about it...but only you know if thats really not your place to ask...

Really, even for Easter? Is it more difficult to book for spring break than Easter? Easter is the only other "Premier" season time [other than Christmas week] so I'm just surprised it would be likely for 4 studios to be available @ 7 mos.

Spring break is variable depending on where you live. Easter is the same for everyone. It is those prime points that keep many DVCers away from staying at that time. That and the massive crowds.

OP--4 studios is a lot to try for at one resort. I understand the disinterest in booking a home resort at 11 months and changing it at 7 months though. I prefer to make a reservation just once. I also don't care where we stay. I see what is available and just go with it. The only time I used the 11 month window was when I needed 3 studios the first week of December.

I had a similar experience with my in-laws about a different subject and quickly learned to keep my mouth shut. It took a few years but now they actually ask me for advice. My husband and I both about fell over the first time it happened. You never know, they can come around.

Have your husband explain the ins and outs of DVC. They are his parents after all. Then you stay out of it.
