In June: which water park for DD5??

When we go the second week in June I am thinking about spending a day in one of the water parks with my DD a 5yr old fish. She is a begginer swimmer who thinks she is an olympian. We have never been to any of the water parks. Which would you suggest?

I'd like to bump this one up, since we are going in May of 05 with a five-year-old son. We, too, are trying to decide between Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

We have been to both and we enjoyed Typhoon Lagoon best. My DD was 7 at the time and she loved the water slide for the smaller kids and the kids water activity area was fun. If you are out in the big pool when the wave starts be sure your are either close to shore or have a good grip on your 5y/o. That wave will take you away quick.

On our trip in June 2002 my DD was 2.5 yrs and youngest DS was 5 yrs. We went to Typhoon Lagoon and they both LOVED it. They both enjoy the water and there was plenty for them to do without going on the big slides. I agree about the wave pool, those waves can be very strong. Be careful.

I am a HUGE TL fan. I think someday I could take an entire trip just there!!! I love the slides and theme of this park. The waves can easily overwhelm a younger child, so definetly keep that in mind when picking your location in the wave pool. When I took DS we started way, way in the back and worked our way forward w/ a comfort level for both of us.

We have 3 girls ages: 8, 5, and 2. They prefer BB to TL. They really enjoy the slides and the family raft ride at BB. They enjoyed the snorkeling at TL though. My DD's prefer the waterparks over MK. We have been to BB twice and TL once. We are going back to TL in March for our second visit.
