I have an in-home daycare and my rates are $20 (school age), $25 (potty trained) and $30 (infants). Full days are over 5 hours. If there are two kids, it is $40 for a full day/$25 half day. I am not licensed (not required in Ohio for certain in-home facilities) but I do claim it on taxes and parents can claim the credit. Much cheaper than a daycare facility in this area as they run about $200 a week per child.
I would recommend some type of contract if I were you. I have heard of so many problems that can happen (not showing up, non-payment, etc.) it is just a good idea to protect you & the parent and clarifies all expections.
Good luck!

By the time my DD was through day care, I had spent $72,000 on day care. Now it's $4000 for kindergarten tuition, $2800 for the afterschool program, and $2000 for summer camp. Sadly seems like a walk in the park after day care
