In General how long....

How long does it take from start to finish once you put a deposit down, with Disney financeing, to have all the paper work and closing done? We put down our deposit today by phone, so we are doing everything by mail. When can I expect all to be said and done! What have your experiences been?

Also I am assuming that I will get a booklet of some sort with exact proceders like banking, borrow of points and other essentials?

They will send you a nice package about everything you need to know about the DVC resorts and banking/borrowing/when to bank etc. etc. It took us about a month to get our paperwork, sign everything, send it back, and get our final papers back. They didn't start taking the money out of our account as quickly as we thought they were going to so it was great that we were well prepared with more in that account when the $$$ started coming out for the payment and the dues.

Once you have paid your deposit to Disney, you will be able to make reserations right away - even if you have not yet closed on your contract. After closing, you will receive DVC documents describing all aspects of the program. In addition, the policies are all available on the member's website for viewing. You will also get a username and pin number for the member's site.

You can also call MS and have them walk you thru the registration process to get on the site. There you will find information about your membership, point charts and the ability to look up your account information and current reservations online as well as pay annual fees. There is also the promise of more features being added in the future.
