In Florida for a couple Days. HELP!

Last minute unplanned trip. Family here. Have 3 adults and 4 kids (ages 5, 7, 11, 11,). We are here until Saturday 30th March and fly out midday.

Never been to FL before, was a last minute thing. Also had no idea how much parks costs.

Wonder our best option to get kids to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and maybe a waterpark or two. Not sure about the waterpark as its pretty cool this week. Thinking maybe buying a 3 day pass from Undercover tourist for 4 of us then sharing it between the two families. Any thoughts on this? Is there a cheaper options then undercover tourist?

Again I am brand new at this. Limited internet access and very little time.

We are taking today as a planning day. Going to do some Mini golf and general shopping and try and get prepped to attack the parks tomorrow. Just trying to save some money!

You can't share a pass between people. They do a finger scan when you use the ticket the first time, and it is linked to that person only. Each person will need their own ticket.

Wow high-tech ;-) Was just reading about them actually. I guess that option is out. Thats ok would be nice to do it all together.

As I read more looking more and more like we just take our lumps and buy our tickets. Just need to decide what options to grab.

Out of curiosity how do these curbsiders get away with reselling tickets? So many store front places seem to be doing it. I understand some of them are timeshare type of thing that you have to waste a couple hours listening to the sales pitch. There seems to be some that are buying/reselling tickets though. I would not risk loosing my money but I am always curious as to how it works (being a police officer from Canada). It must work to some degree or they the local law enforcement would shut them down....

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to get a discount on last minute under 4 day Disney tickets. I would just buy 2 1 day tickets and visit Epcot and MK. You won't need the park hopper as there is so much to do in these 2 parks. Definitely go to MK on Wednesday and Epcot on Thursday. Thursdays are crazy busy at MK and this week will be especially so. Have a great time

Undercover Tourist is okay to buy from and usually you can save $ by doing this. I would also skip the waterpark-too cold for me! Isn't is only in the 70's this week? Just get the one day passes and stay the day at the MK and then Epcot, plently to do! Have fun at the parks!

Since you're already there, you can't buy in advance. Undercover Tourist takes more than a day to send tickets out. Also, their 2 days tickets don't tend to be very discounted anyways.

I would just buy your tickets at the gate.
Start with a 2 day ticket, you can add a 3rd day on your second day (while you're still in the parks) if you decide you want another day.

Get there early. The Magic Kingdom opens at 7am every day this week to resort guests and 8am to everyone else.
For your first day, I would plan to be parking at the Magic Kingdom (Ticket & Transportation Center) no later than 7am, so you'll have time to buy your tickets, take the ferry or monorail to the entrance, and be in line before 8am.

The parks will be VERY crowded. This week and next week are in the top 5 for the busiest weeks at Disney.

I recommend using any extra time you may have today reading over on the EasyWDW website. It should help you get an idea of a basic plan for tackling the parks once you get there tomorrow.

I could be wrong, but Undercover Tourist isn't an instant thing I believe, so it might not work for you. I'd just do the one day passes as others have mentioned.

Sea World is also fun and in the area, and you can get discounted AAA tickets if you are members.

If you had time, UT is always best, or Maple Leaf Tickets. But for 1-2-3 day tickets, the savings is minimal or non-existent. So get your tickets at the gate. It might be tough to do, but get to the parks early to best access ride lines. Learn about Free fastpasses for rides. Don't spend time eating fancy. Your family is going to have a blast, but it will be crowded. You can leave the park and return to the same park-same day. If you want to take a break and ride the monorail loop, the kids will love it, and you'll get a small taste of how much more there is to WDW than just the parks. Stay for the fireworks at the end of the evening. So worth it. Hopefully you could plan a longer trip in the future. Have fun!

Curbsiders as you put it don't get away with it. My Uncle works at MK and said people get arrested everyday for trying to get in with these tickets.

If you are going this week I want to mention to get there when the parks open. This week is a busy week and they have been reaching capacity by 10:30 in the morning which means if you are NOT staying at a Disney resort you will not get into the park.

You can actually pick up UTC tickets at the UPS on Kirkman Rd. if you place the order a day ahead of time (orders need to be placed by 2:00p.m for next day delivery)

If you're going to the parks this week, GO EARLY!!!! I cannot emphasize that enough for someone who is not staying in a Disney resort! And by early, I mean be there at least an hour before the park is scheduled to open!

They were already at Phase 3 closure at the MK this morning at 11:00. For those of you unfamiliar with park closures, Disney closes the parks due to capacity during holidays and periods of high attendance. However, they do it in a graduated fashion that allows their onsite guest the most advantages. If you're visiting in the area and just stopping by for the day, you're not likely to get into the MK today.

Here's how the Park Closing Phases work according to WDWMagic.com:

Phase 1
Guests with 'Magic Your Way' base tickets, or a '1-Day 1-Park Ticket', Guests without an admission ticket, and Cast Members using Main Gate & Silver Passes will be turned around at the parking lot booths.

Phase 2
Admission is limited to:

• Disney Resort Guests (including the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and guests arriving by bus from the Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotels)
• Annual and Premium Annual Passholders
• Guests with Hopper tickets coming from another park
• Guests re-entering the park
• Guests with dining reservations
• Magic Kingdom Guests with reservations for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or The Pirates League
• Guests using Walt Disney World Resort Transportation will be admitted.

Phase 3
Admission is limited to:

• Disney Resort Guests (including the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and guests arriving by bus from the Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotels)

Ended up buying tickets at one of the official tourist office's with FP. Got to the gates on Wednesday around 9am. Got some rides in quick before the real rush started. Got lucky with people giving us some FP tickets for rides which saved us some lines. Kids (12, 12, 7, 5) were amazing. Soldiered on until after the Fireworks.

Will pick a less busy time, but was lucky I did some reading here before we went. Were able to get some good rides in.

I did not know my 5 year old was a coaster nut though. Loved Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain. MORE was his favorite word!
