Just had to share my excitement, I'm sat in the Premier Inn at Dover overlooking the port. It's been a fantastic 2 days already, we surprised the kids yesterday rather than this morning and set off early to enjoy this weather. Roads were clear and we had a nice night at the Travelodge is Ashford Eureka Leisure Park. It was fine but breakfast wasn't up to much.
We arrived at Folkestone this morning to enjoy the park along the prom and let the kids splash in the sea. We had a fantastic time.
We arrived and checked into our Premier Inn at 2 and ate in the Table Table restaurant here. 2 adult mains and 2 children's meals came in at £13.99 although the bottle of wine and drinks for the kids topped the bill up. We walked down the promenade and grabbed a sandwich from Subway on the way home and are now chilling in our room shattered.
In fact, I'm so tired and the 31 degrees today has worn me out. I'm actually wondering how I'll cope wandering round DLP in the heat with the crowds. Iv snapped at OH and the kids already!!! Looking forward to the thunderstorm
On Friday to cool things down.
