In defense of Stacey, the in-room TV propaganda girl!

That is VERY funny!

My DS2 had seen that show on a loop so much during our last WDW trip that when she got to the Epcot part he said,"Yummy! Yummy! Yummy" right along with her. It was priceless. It doesn't feel like we are at WDW until we turn that "propaganda" on.

I heard an interview with her on WDW today and she was quite normal and funny. She even made a lot of fun at herself on the video. She said they wanted her to be really, really enthusiastic and even she found herself annoying at times.

We love her! DH loves her for different reasons than I do but nonetheless, we share the love. At first, I was like..oh god this is lame, but I couldn't stop watching the Top 7. Since our last visit, I heard a couple of interviews with her and I think she's just a fun person in general.

We always go around saying:

"Look at all the lazy people in the lazy rivah!"

"Triple Mountain Whammy!"

"Love rollercoasters. Love Aerosmith. Hello?!"

"Humunga, Cowabunga"

"Pretzels ent Beer"

"Cucarachas!"

Etc. etc...

She is a really sweet person, I've emailed her a couple times and she always responds.

My girlfriend is jealous of her. Well maybe if she started coming up with some cool catchphrases I could let Stacey go, until then, its "Wham, Wham, Wham" for me and Stacey!

No seriously, we really like her. It's just part of the experience for us. The first thing I do each morning before we head out is tune in to Stacy's Top 7. It get us revved up for the day.

Our first on property stay at WDW was this past February for three nights at All Star Sports. That is when the family and I were introduced to 'Stacy'

I did enjoy watching her at all of the parks knowing that I could just walk out the hotel door and go straight over there myself (a great feeling let me tell ya)

And I would always leave the TV on the Stacy channel at night to fall asleep to

i'm not a huge fan of stacey. i liked the blonde girl who did the top 7 before her. i can't remember her name, but it was back when the number one thing to do was mission space. so that would have been around 2004.

Fortunately (or not, depending on whether you are anti-Stacey or pro-Stacey) there are plenty of Stacey clips posted on YouTube. Use the search terms "stacey" and "disney" and there they are!

There is something about turning on the TV as soon as I get into the room and seeing Stacy's Top 7 that says, "I'm Home". Looking forward to that feeling in 2 weeks. Along with seeing the Podcast Crew

It is funny that you put that. For a change, we put the Spanish version on last time. I would hear a lot of words I didn't understand and then in perfect English she would say words like Splash Mountain and Magic Kingdom. It was entertaining.
