Very nice! I was going to say if you like Mary Poppins you'll love the fountain in the original villa building.

I love Mary Poppins. I actually love the new one more *gasp*. I did not see a fountain... seeing the room now I have to stay at VGF even though I swear I really never planned on it

I really, really liked the copper creek 1 bedroom refurb. I love that they made it more themed. I wonder how they will make Lakeshore Lodge stand out

I read Pocahontas, brother bear, fox and hound etc.

But then theyre throwing in a Tiana restaurant. I really hope its not a hodgepodge of IP lol. I trust their judgement.

The way we did it, did not give me the time to appreciate it and really soak it all in.

We were not dvc and renting points so we could only afford two nights because we were also staying at akv, blt and ccv to find out if dvc was for us and what we wanted our home resort to be.

It was the last hotel we stayed at which meant we were exhausted. It was an extremely busy holiday weekend and the cast members were most likely worn thin.

Staying 5 nights will give me time to enjoy all the restaurants, pool, hopefully Victoria and alberts! (We tried for it last time but they were booked so we're def going to try with the 5 days out.) New refurbishment, etc. I love Mary Poppins and just being able to be in the lobby and admire the fountain and hotel the way I got to with PIT is def something im really looking forward to!

This sounds like a wonderful trip! I like that the resort studios are identical to cash rooms, but the original villa building has dedicated bell services, dedicated concierge CMs, a true porte-cochère, and the covered walking path to the main building.

These were all in the renderings for "Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge," but once the project resumed construction it was rebranded to "Lakeshore Lodge" and I don't believe there has been any confirmation of official IP or new renders.

If not too long thereafter... I thought I had read they were targeting early 2027 for an opening. The speed which the exterior is being built makes me think that is likely/possible...

If they threw in some walking trails and great pools that would be fantastic - they have the opportunity to make something kind of reminiscent of Grand Cypress HR in terms of all the land they have over there... but just even better.

So, particularly if the entire resort ends up being DVC, I think it will be very easy to trade and stay there.

I think we are pretty confident that it won't be all DVC. How easy it is? We'll just have to see.

As for when they announce: I vaguely recall that there are some limits about how far before occupancy one can market a timeshare per FL law--and that's why BLT was The Tower That Did Not Exist. The Guides were told rather strictly not to talk about it.

I don't think it's straight Pocohontas themed, original concept art definitely showed a large beautiful statue of her in the lobby but the impression I got was more of a general "Nature" theme. I remember seeing Bambi at the front entrance and for the decor in the rooms, I think maybe the Fox and the Hound in the rooms too, then a bunch of non-specific butterflies/ birds in the lobby. I don't think they're gonna use Brother Bear here since the Copper Creek refurb grabbed that IP.

I suppose it's possible that the dvc section is small enough to make ot hard to get into, but I dont think so

The cabins being rolled in isn't going to be very enticing for some (myself included) if I had to guess im going to guess, based on what we already know ofc, that the pool is going to be the main attraction and the best on property.

Im talking multiple water slides perhaps and really dig into this adventurous sort of mark Twain spirit/Davy Crockett spirit (I have a wild imagination lol) The rooms are going to follow the same popular model as PIT and VDH, and the sheer size with modern newness is going to be really impressive.

This is my hope anyways I hope that the least we get out of restrictions is Disney needing to make these hotels impressive because of the massive devaluation that I feel is going to occur from restricted vs non. But I know maybe the average buyer doesnt follow or care about restrictions as well

It looks like another standard hotel tower block just like most of the other recent new builds. Where has the imagination gone from Imagineering? Did it die with the Galactic Starcruiser?

Depending upon how many points LSL has, will Disney even be in a hurry to sell it out? RIV has 6.7 million points, and, although COVID disrupted sales fairly significantly, I think the original projections had it set to sell out in 2024. And when RIV opened, I believe CCV had already entered sold out status.

With nothing new on the horizon (that we know of), RIV selling out sometime in late 2026, and PIT selling out sometime in 2027, Disney may be all to happy to have lots and lots of LSL points to sell for 4-5 years. Maybe with some occasional deals on sold out resorts.
