Robin- my AC has not been off in almost 3 weeks
and I hate AC. WE think a tornado touched down in Tolland/ Windham counties yesterday, but so far no confirmation. There are pics of funnel clouds though. You know Buddy is an old farmer, and he watches cloud formations to warn him about weather. He had told me that if you ever see "horse tails" hanging down from clouds, that was not good. I was heading East and the looking at the sky there were these swirling tails all streaming towards the ground. That was about the time the storm was ravaging the Eastern portion of our State. I know that there is no comparison to the storms that the Plains States get or those folks smack dab in Tornado Alley, but they are big for us.
I don't know if we just never heard about all of the tornadic activity, but I cannot remember these kinds of storms occurring so often. We have one more day of severe storms and hopefully they will be done with us for a while. Selfishly, I hope it is over. Buddy was telling me that the field he has been babysitting was starting to look much better, and the one that was okay is now flooded. Again.
The Governor has released disaster assistance for farmers who have been affected by the freakish weather, but I don't think we really qualify. We treat of crop in a pattern, but I did not need to reset.....there were no more plants for that.....Buddy has cultivated like crazy, but I cannot quantify that cost of fuel....our labor is higher, but I really don't know how much....so I tossed the application. It is what it is. I figure that if it makes it, we are good. If not,
. The guys whose livelihood relys on the money should get it and we will take our chances.

sorry but I know my girls would have to.
My freezer is full too.
I am so excited! I saw Amy last Christmas, but I miss her terribly, and her little boy too!
Make sure you get the grandbaby fix as much as possible before you go! Buddy has voice mail messages on his phone that he saves so he can listen to them when he misses his girls. Two are at te beach right now so those messages are playing more often now!
Busy, busy as usual.
You got run down with all of the work you were doing for your successful project launch. Please take it easy and make sure you are well before you return to work
