In and Out in a Day

Good Lovely Morning! It is stunning today, and about time! Yesterday I opened my windows and this morning I am enjoying fresh clean air!

Kat- I hope that Kyle does take his classes, and gets them over with. Donny never finished college and while he was fortunate to work up to a great job, he does not have any degree that supports his experience. Marisa either, and it does make a difference.

Robin- busy lady! Two jobs is tough, but if it won't be for too long, you can do it! I know that every Spring you look forward to your Summer position, so this is going to be a good thing for you!

Ellen-I love that you can stay with Matthew when you go to games. how is he doing in his new job?I remember when Donny got his own place and we needed to drive to see him. It was such a growth experience for him, in more ways than one, but it was also a learning curve for us. Buddy had wanted him to get his own place, but almost fainted when he moved an hour away. He thought down in the center of town, not down towards the other end of the State! I hate to drive, so it was hard to just stop by.....

PIO- 8 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Well, we are back in class, and i am once again trying to learn how to manage my time. I am not good! but getting better! Marisa and I both have classes at night, and two are 4 hour classes, so Kady needs someone with her. Last week Buddy took her to dinner and then stayed with her, and tonight Joanie is going over. Later, when things settle in for Kady, she will probably just stay here with Buddy and I will take her to school in the morning. Buddy cannot wait!

What day is today...........huh..............It's Hump Day!!!

Robin ~ Good for you!! I have all the faith in the world that you can do it. You are one focused lady. And look at it this way - More money for Disney. ;)

PIO ~ I have been reading along on Alison's PTR of all your fun time that is ahead. I peeked at yours but I haven't gotten there yet. Your vacation sounds amazing. I can't wait for the TR.

Nancy ~ I hear that. I hate that Matthew is over 2 hours away. But he is really settling in, so for that we are happy. Thanks for asking about the job - he really likes it. He has his own office and a budget to decorate. :rotfl2: Tonight he is doing something that is just amazing his Dad and I. Every time we are in town we have been going to a church there in Lincoln and he has been going by himself for awhile now. He is going to choir practice tonight. He is like his Dad - he loves to sing and I am thrilled he is going. But I am still a bit shocked he is. I hope he likes it and meets some friends.
Good luck with your classes. I am so darn proud of you - you can do it. :cheer2:

I got a text from Stephanie this morning and her beloved kitty - Princess Fiona died in the night. She hadn't been feeling good (she is diabetic) and was at the Vet. Last night she seemed to turn the corner and we thought she was out of the woods. I guess not. I feel so bad for her. It is SO hard to lose a fur baby.

I was able to get 4 miles in last night. Man it felt so good. I had to wait till after 7:00 and the heat wasn't so bad. The skeeties really had a feast on me. Next time I will have to spray good.

WFDT ~ Lemon shrimp pasta, green salad and breadsticks.

Make it a great day.

Popping in quickly to ask if anyone has a spare prayer we could use it. Kyle was diagnosed with mono yesterday, I've never seen him this sick before.:sad1:

Nancy - School starts again? Good luck with the semester.

Ellen - Sorry about the furbaby. That's very hard and I wish Stephanie peace. Did you run 4 miles??? I'm very impressed. And thanks for checking in on my PTR...er....blog. :thumbsup2

Kat.....Prayers for Kyle and you. I hope he recovers soon. :flower3:

Ellen- how could I have missed Stephanie's loss? I am so sorry, losing a pet is devastating. Keeping her closectpday

Morning girls,

Kat ~ I saw that on FB. Prayers are with Kyle. I hate to see my baby (I don't care how old they are) not feel good. Hopefully he will turn the corner soon and feel better. Hang in there Mom, prayers for you too.

PIO ~ So are you packed yet? The time is coming fast. I am so excited for you. You so deserve this time away.

Nan ~ No problem, but thanks. I felt so sorry for her. They just lost Addie 6 weeks ago and now their cat. She says - NO more animals - It is just to hard. I know they will but I do agree. You love them so much and it is hard when they are gone. But I can't ever imagine a house without an animal in it.

:flower3: to all who read or come in later. Hope you all are having a great day.

Well Wednesday night activities started up last night. OH.MY.GOODNESS is was a mad house in the church last night. I didn't even think of getting out of here till after 6. It was so great to see all the kiddos again. They were so excited to be starting all the new activities. It is so great to have a Pastor that is actually here and involved with the kids. It makes a BIG difference in how things go.

WFDT ~ Hamburgers, pasta salad and baked beans.

Make it a great day all!!

Ellen- I sure do understand. My brother refuses to have another animal. He was the one to take the dogs and the cats, and he said no more. My Sis Il wants a cat, but my brother cannot again.

I felt that way too. My heart broke a little more each time. Poor Steph, two friends in such a short time. :sad2:

Woohoo it's Friday!!!

Nan ~ I somehow knew you would understand. It is so hard, but they really do add to our lives also. I really can't imagine not having one around.

Kat ~ How is Kyle feeling?

We are headed to Lincoln right after work today. We play Southern Miss. tomorrow. It is a 5:00 game and is suppose to be over 100 by game time. But they are saying that the humidity should be very low. So that will make a big difference. We are going to hit the Bank's tailgate before but I already told the boys there can be no beer. 0

WFDT ~ We are grilling steaks when we get to Matthews. I have no idea what else he will have. I love it!!

Make it a great day!

Good Friday Morning! It is stunning today! Fall is in the air, but we are supposed to get warmer this weekend. Nothing close to Ellen's 100 degree weather, so it is good!

Kat- How is Kyle feeling? Poor guy, mono is no fun. A young woman who works with Buddy had it last year about this time, and she was miserable.

Ellen- have a great weekend with Mathew and enjoy your game!

I am not sure what we are up to this weekend. Buddy will be working at teh farm, and I should catch up with homework.

Hey y'all,

Thanks to all for the prayers and good wishes for my boy. He's doing much better, in fact, doc let him return to light duty work today. The main concern was his enlarged spleen which is almost back to normal. It's such a relief to see him getting back to his normal self. He needs to take it slow, however, so I have my work cut out for me, trying to keep him down. When they're 23 they think they are invincible.

Hopefully I can get back to keeping up with you sweet ladies!:grouphug:

Kat - So glad that Kyle is feeling better. That must have been such a relief!

Nancy - Hope you're have a great weekend, whatever you're doing.

Ellen - I'm not packed yet. I hope to have the packing finished this weekend.

Today is election day in Australia. Even though I voted early, it's time to get out and about. We've got a busy weekend this weekend and there will be a lot more traffic on the roads. Voting is compulsory over here; so every man and his grand dad will be out and about.

Happy Monday girls,

Nan ~ It is still HOT here. Today is suppose to be the hottest day of the summer, but is suppose to cool off after today. I am ready for some fall weather.

Kat ~ I am so happy that Kyle is feeling better. Nothing worse that having a sick kid. No matter the age. Yes his age does help and hinder all at the same time. ;)

PIO ~ Vacation is getting closer. I am so excited for you!!

We had another great weekend. But it was very hot. Not like last week but still hot and it was a 5:00 game. So we were out in the worst of it. The humidity was very low so that helped. We left the apartment yesterday morning for church and it was like a sauna out. We were so glad it wasn't like that the day before.

We won 56 -13. YEA!! We looked a lot better, but we play UCLA next week so we shall see. It might not be pretty. Matthew's branch of the bank is doing the tailgate. It is an 11:00 am game and they are serving breakfast burritos and Bloody Marys. I think I will like this one.

WFDT ~ Grilled salmon, roasted potatoes and corn, tomatoes and cucumbers.

Make it a great day!

I fixed a Peanut butter pie that I thought you all might like. It was delicious and really easy to make.

Peanut Butter pie

1 Oreo cookie crust - or you can make your own - I was lazy

1 8oz pkg. cream cheese

1 cup peanut butter

1 8 oz. container of cool whip

.

Dinnae get these ower here....AAARRGGHHH !!! :furious:

Hey, everyone! Sorry I haven't stopped in, lately. Things here are fine, just busy! We've had quite a bit of flooding here in our town. The fire we had in July of 2012 left quite a scar, and all the rain we have had is causing mudslides. We've spent the last few weekends filling sandbags. Luckily, our house is in a "safe zone." We are about a mile from where the fire was, and we are situated on a hill, so the floods can't reach us. However, a lot of our friends and neighbors aren't so lucky. Last weekend was particularly scary. We had a small tornado touch down about 3 miles away, and it did some significant damage to some farms, (and to my sister's house!). We got an inch and a half of rain in 30 minutes. SCARY!!! Looks like we'll dry out until Friday, and then the weekend looks like it's going to be wet, again.

Anyway, just wanted to let y'all know that we are alright! The problem with Katie's teacher, has worked itself out, and she is happy, once again!

Alan has been on assignment in Hawaii, so our dinners haven't been anything fancy; just soup, sandwiches, macaroni and cheese and pizza. Tonight we are having breakfast quesadillas. Yum!

Morning girls,

Vic ~ Shoot! I could send you the cookies but I don't think the Cool Whip would make it across the pond.
It is sure good to see you. I try to keep up with you on FB. I miss you!!

PIO ~ :wave2: right back at 'cha. Are you getting excited? I can't wait to hear all about it. Now if we can just get Alison and Fran happy all will be good in the world.

Glynis ~ I am so glad to hear that Katie and the teacher are ok. There is nothing worse than to see our kids suffer. Ethan is having a bullying problem. We have been so upset by it. But Elizabeth and Jay went right to the principle and he really took it seriously. Bullying is so in the news right now that I am not surprised he reacted the way that he did. He has had a couple of other complaints about this same boy. They are in the 4th grade for goodness sakes. Hopefully it was nipped in the bud before it got to bad.

Today is going to long. It is bill writing day (also payday) here at the church. Plus we have the Bishop and his whole Cabinet here for a work day. They are out at the Camp but want to do some service work this afternoon. There are 30 of them, so it has been a bit of a chore finding something for that many to do. Yesterday I gathered, ladders, paint, brushes, scrapers and etc. What a neat thing for them to do.

Then I have to come back in tonight  for a Trustees meeting. I absolutely loathe having to come back to work after I have been home.

WFDT ~ Chili dogs, chips and sweet tea.

Make it a great day!

Hi girls! It is a lovely Fall day here today It was raining earlier, but now the sun is coming out.

Glynis- I am so glad that Katie is happy in school now. I was so sad for her. I also was paying attention to the weather you were experiencing, It was nutz! I am glad you are all okay!

Ellen- you are so busy, woman! I hate going back out after I am home and settled, so I don't blame you one little bit fro being annoyed.

I have school tonight, but not as late as last night :yay:

2 days to go. Last day at work today.

Spent the day being real busy avoiding any work.
Then I cleared out my email so that there would be lots of space for the mailbox to clog up again to overflowing with more mail over the next 5.5 weeks.
I also turfed out a whole heap of printed paper in my paperless office.

Am I excited? You bet!!

A heap of last minute things to do....least of which is waiting for DH to decide on his toiletries! Otherwise, the packing would be done now.

I may not have time to check in on this thread before I leave. I plan on disconnecting from the internet as much as humanly possible whilst I'm on vacay. So, I won't catch up on any news until I return in mid October.

Have a great one all.

:goodvibes

I am so excited for you!!!!! I look forward to not hearing from you for a month, in the best possible way!!!! Enjoy your vacation, take lots of pics (I love them) don't think about work, or anything else's but your family, travel safely and have a blast!!!!! I'll miss youPIO but you need this time away with your family, and totally deserve a rest! Have fun!

PIO ~ Safe travels my friend. Have a wonderful time, you so deserve it.

Nan ~ How was school last night? You are such a bright star in my life!! Thanks.

It is actually cool outside this morning. We have a front coming through and it even spurred some rain. Not for my area of course but all around us. And they say it will rain off and on for the next few days. So hopefully some will reach us. We are very dry!!

WFDT ~ Enchiladas, rice and a green salad. The Mission team is cooking tonight.

Make it a great day!
