Hello everyone! Jumping back in. I really like my ipad, but I need a laptop too for things like editing photos in photoshop. I use my ipad to surf the net and read books etc. and the laptop for photo editing and word processing. I also have a regular computer but we use that more to run the house systems, and rarely for actual computing tasks.

It is HOT here today! Supposed to go up to 97 and we are due for thunderstorms later. Probably just in time for the evening commute
John and I brought tourist ponchos to work with us to put on if it gets crazy. We will look dorky but who cares.

WFD: I got up early this morning and made a chilled melon soup with coconut milk, lime, ginger, jalepeno, thai basil, and mint. It's macerating in the fridge while we are at work. We will also have some cilantro-lime marinated shrimp with peanut dipping sauce.

I'm so tired from all this work and the stress is starting to get to me. Once this week is over, if we've something, there won't be the pressure of trying to fix it before launch date.

Just have to share this. I stopped in to Marisa's yesterday so we could run errands together. Kady was still in bed, even though Marisa had told her to get up, so she went to shake her out. Bumpity bump bump! kady is officially a slug, and what goes around, has started to come around. I used to roll the kids out of bed and now Marisa, who BTW, moaned and groaned when she was 11, sent Kady sliding out too! And then threatened to send her home with me

Oh my gosh! I have to admit I am enjoying this a lot! Kady is a mini Marisa, right down to her mouth, so it is a bit of a treat to hear all about the woes. Risa was a good kid, and so is kady, so the issues are small ones, but Marisa, being Marisa, is I told her Kady can live with her Nana.....who understands her......

I'm sitting here watching the unfolding events of this night.

So, our Australian Labour Party has just had a leadership ballot....again! We've got a new Prime Minister...Kevin Rudd. Well....he's the old new Prime Minister. He was the sitting PM that got voted out by the ALP 3 years ago and was replaced by Julia Rudd. Tonight, it's Julia's turn to be out and Kevin Rudd to be back.

And it hasn't stopped yet. The front bench is still spilling blood as the revolving door continues. We'll have a brand new old Australian Labour Party by tomorrow morning.


The fun doesn't stop there yet. We're due to go to the polls and vote on the 14th September. Chances are we are now going to go vote earlier.

Well, the heat wave is supposed to be over!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually it was over yesterday, but it was so steamy around here that it was impossible to know it. I have been taking one room at a time and trying to get it back to normal, as well as trying to clean up my outdoors. Today I am committed to getting the screens washed (the pollen and the spring storms got them filthy all over again ) and maybe finishing the front of the house. And my linen closet. Unless I get sidetracked again

Buddy has been going back and forth between farms and getting in late, so dinners have been very light.

Nan - Glad to hear the heatwave is over! It's pretty darn hot down here too, but we're just thankful there are no storms brewing out in the Gulf yet. I hate this time of year....
