I hope you are doing ok now.
This reminds me of when people swerve so they don't have to slow down if someone in front of them is turning. The problem is that the next person doesn't know that two cars up someone is slowing to turn and the same thing that happened to you could happen. It almost seems that the swerver should be charged (I don't mean in your case, but someone who moves over because they don't want to be slowed down by someone who is making a turn). Did that make any sense?
Absolutely makes sense.
I am doing fine. I broke a rib. But no one was seriously injured. The car was totaled, however.
The people in front of us stopped because they were very shaken up too. This was like no swerve I had ever seen. It was a total stunt car move with squealing tires and skidding. They later said it was instinct, but they are very lucky they didn't hit anyone in the other lane. It looked as if my husband started to swerve as well. As we hit the parked car slightly to left of center, spinning it around. But he hardly had time to do anything.
