In a panic, mini vans dissappearing in July!

O.K. we are going July16-31, I usually go August...I booked a ressie that I could live with or so I thought until people started telling me not to trust the code. I thought to myself well, I am far out the bargains always get closer, I will be O.K. ....NOT!

Almost a month out and the minivan option had disappeared from budget, National, alamo and enterprise Is July like this? or will it open up again? I am verra nervous about this one, because I am on a budget. Oh yeah we have 4 kids, 2 adults and lots of luggage a minivan is a must or we just won't fit.

The code we used was the vroom, vroom code and on the DIS there has been debate that it might be "hinky" and I could have to pay full price at the counter. that would just not do, the cost is like 1500

Oh yeah, my ticker below is a fake to throw off my kids because we are surprising them awake for out trip, we leave in 33 days. From what I have read this is about when you start to see decent rates, but that won't help me if there are no minivans!

I have no idea if I qualify, I do not even know what the qualifications are for this code. Someone said I needed a KLM membership? I have that, but I thought that was for the National code....ugggh, I am in some serious deep doo doo, because I have to have a van with 6 of us. No SUV will even fit the 6 of us

When we went to disney in April the mini van prices were super high. we were considering renting 2 cheaper cars. They would have come out for much less then a mini-van. Can you consider that?

Not sure what rate you were getting, but Dollar has minivans on their website for $442 a week for your dates. Just put in your date and the click on city specials when the rate chart comes up.

We're renting a minivan in July from Carl's Van Rentals at carlsvanrentals.com so I took a quick look at their site and while they're not showing any minivans for your dates...they have an 8 passenger van and some 4-door 4-6 passenger pickup trucks available. Those trucks can fit 6 if they are the right configuration. I would call directly and talk to them, I booked over the phone and they were very nice and helpful. Maybe they have something for you!
