I remember the old days of ToonTown it seems like they had more stuff to do. I remember they had a bounce house and in Donald's Ship there were like ropes you could climb. They even had a trolley. So if they don't get rid of it what are some ways you guys think they can make it better.

I think they should put in a restaurant (desperately needed back there) and have a character breakfast featuring some of the characters that are not represented in the other breakfasts.

Well I guess it depends on whether or not ToonTown gets the boot for Star Wars Land. I think a restaurant would help it though.

Completely agree they need a restaurant back there!

Re-theme Gadget's Go Coaster to include characters that we've seen in TV or a movie in the last 20 years.

Donald currently does not appear at any character meals. Give him his own in Toontown!

Definitely shade as mentioned!

And as per the mention of a restaurant, an Animator's Palate (like on Disney Cruises) would go really well there!

A couple of things:

1. I moved this thread over to the Disneyland Community forum, as the main Disneyland forum is more for trip planning-related threads and this is not a trip planning-related subject; and

2. I love Toontown (I really love Car Toon Spin) and I will be glad if it stays, though it needs some work. However, to be honest, just because Disney said that Toontown is not being "replaced" by Star Wars Land, and that the speculation is "unfounded," if you read between the lines it doesn't necessarily mean that the land is safe down the road. Right this second it is safe. They can't guarantee that anything is ever safe -- they have no idea what plans may come to fruition in a few years. Right now, the plan seems to be to build Star Wars Land behind Toontown and leading over to the Big Thunder Ranch area. The whole Ranch and Festival Arena would have to be torn down -- including the BBQ restaurant, I'm sure.

However, there will probably have to be at least 2 access points to the land -- if not 3 -- and I doubt that the only entrance to it will be where the Ranch is. I'm sure that there will be another access point somewhere between Fantasyland and Toontown, or maybe directly in Toontown. Toontown would have to be 'clipped,' for lack of a better word, if not rethemed -- to allow for some sort of entrance point that makes sense, thematically.

I would like for Toontown to stay, but it has been neglected for a long time. It almost seems as if Disney doesn't want to do anything to improve it because they know that it is disposable and that it probably won't stick around forever. I would be very shocked if Toontown survives for another 10 years, but if it does it needs some attention!

This makes me so sad! I must be extremely naive because i thought toon town is important. I love the bright colors, and the cartoon feel. its immersive in its playfulness. Sure, there isn't a whole lot of stuff to do, but kids love the go coaster! it allows younger kids the feeling of a roller coaster without pushing them so far into fear. I love rogers car toon spin. PLUS if it goes away...where will mickey and minnie live?! touring their houses is a must for us! i had no idea it was so "disposable". I think a restaurant with a character meet is a great idea. a mini parade a couple times a day just through the town would give it some life! not sure how difficult that would be though! as excited as i am for star wars, i sincerely hope it doesn't negatively effect toon town. I guess i am one of the few.

There is plenty of room behind Toontown (where all the office buildings are) where they should expand it. Add a nice dining option, more rides (that aren't just a aste of space, but actual GOOD rides, more shopping, etc)
