I'm not going to do a whole trip report, but I thought I'd share a couple of impressions from my 11 year old DD. We're Americans, and this was our first trip to DLP (one day), but we are seasoned WDW visitors and have been to DLR as well. We all loved the entrance to DL, thought the Halloween decorations were fun, and enjoyed all of the rides (esp Crush's Coaster and Ratatouille). The weather was a bit chilly (mid-October) but no rain.
One comment DD made was that a lot of people smoke at DLP. Now really in comparison to the rest of our trip visiting Paris, Munich, and Florence, the number of people smoking in places other than DLP was higher. But for an 11 year old who is used to amusement parks having designated smoking areas, it was quite frustrating to be standing in line and to have someone in front of us light up and blow smoke in our faces. Fortunately much of the smoking was e-cigarettes, but she still thought people were very inconsiderate to be smoking in line (I have to agree). For people not used to this, it's just something to be aware of.
Her other comment was that cast members at DLP aren't nice like at WDW. On one hand, she was completely thrilled by this because she HATES being referred to as princess. On the other hand, though, she missed the friendliness of the cast members. They weren't rude by any means, but no one was engaging at all. I'm sure some of this is the language (although they all spoke perfectly good English), but it's also just a different feeling than US Disney parks.
Neither of these issues interfered with our enjoyment of the day, but I do think they were interesting (and valid) observations from a kid. We'd definitely go back to DLP!
