Hooboy, my head is swimming trying to figure this one out. It's so tough to plan a vacation to make everyone happy!

I'm hoping to find an off-site hotel for less than $100/night with all the above criteria. So far, no luck. Any suggestions?

Really do a lot of research for rates on the Sheraton Safari. It meets these. It has the python waterslide, it has the "heavenly beds", and if you really watch and check everywhere for deals- you can sometimes get a room for $90 something a night.

CG 1 and 2 BR condos might fit the bill. Not the awesome heavenly beds, but plenty of room, and a water slide. Don't know your dates, but our dates in August, 2 bedroom is $95.

Not sure what the price is but try Holiday inn Express..Clermont. It has usage of the water slides/park at the adjoining Summer Bay Resort. It is only about a 7 minutes drive to Animal Kingdom and of course not too far to the rest of the magic. They usually have pretty good rates and the rooms are great. A new hotel so it is clean. We stayed in a suite and the room was huge....King bed, sofa bed, chair with ottoman, table, refridge, microwave, and nice bathroom!

Sorry to pop in here on your thread but what hotel is "CG"? I'm searching also. :teeth:

:lmao: No wonder nobody can figure out what I'm talking about!!! Those aren't the correct letters!!! :lmao: Boy, what a help I am!!!

What I meant was this:
CP=Cypress Pointe
CPGV=Cypress Pointe Grand Villas

Hotelkingdom.com has them maxing out at the 3 BR for $136 a night during August. Studio starts around $70. If you search on here, it is a highly recommended resort.

cypresspointe.net is their website.

Hope this FINALLY!!! helps somebody. :rolleyes:

There are two HI Expresses in Clermont. One is on Route 192 (Irlo Bronson Hwy West) the other is on Route 27. Make sure you get the right one, because the one on 27 is a good half hour from AKL, and I'm not sure it even has a pool, let alone one with a slide.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Actually, the Sheraton Safari is one of the ones on my short list--but for some reason, I thought they didn't have the Sweet Sleeper beds there yet.

Oh--the dates--3rd or 4th week in June, undecided yet because we're waiting for Football camp dates to be released.

The other ones on my list are the Royal Plaza and the Radisson Celebration, but the RP doesn't have a slide as far as I can tell.

All of them so far for my dates are over $100-closer to $125 per. Which if we are paying that much, almost makes it worth it to kick in the extra $30 for a moderate onsite.

*I* have no objections to Cypress Pointe, but we've stayed there before and my kids refuse to go back because of the Great Palmetto Bug incident, even though I've explained to them that there are bugs everywhere in FL.

The Caribe Royale has comfy beds and a great pool slide (which is permanently manned by a lifeguard!)

Beds are not great, but the Amerisuites and Country Inn & Suites Calypso Cay have a water slide. It is not a huge slide, but they also have putt-putt and free breakfast. Price should be right, too.

I stayed at the Sheraton Safari in 2004 and it did have the sweet sleeper/heavenly beds then. Same as they have at the Swan/Dolphin.

There is a thread currently on this board asking about Story Time condo. The condo is a 3BR/3BA with a small pool in the backyard of the condo. On the pictures on the website, it also showed a pool slide at the big community pool. I've never stayed there or in that community, but I know the community gets rave reviews from others. The price is very close to what you're looking for. Good luck!
