Just back from 7 wonderful days at HH. This was our 4th trip and we still can't wait until our next trip. The resort was in excellent shape the the CM's were as friendly as ever. A lot of new faces but they did a great job.

The official word is the resort is 90% sold-out so if you want that add-on you might want to hurry. For those that have been following, sell-out will be this spring. Wait, it is spring. Well it should be sold out by Summer.

The Preview Center is closed and they are cleaning it out. My wife would not let me rumage for any memorabilia in the big dumpsters out front of the PC.

Thanks to Tommy of setting up the treasure hunt. The kids and I had a lot of fun looking for the bounty.

We stayed in a 1-bedroom in the lodge and had a nice view of the marsh.

Oh, that important info I promised;

Free coffee is set out every day in the lodge around 7:00 am
Free lemonaid is set out every day around 1:00 pm
Free cookies are set out everyday around 3:00 pm
This was another advantage of staying in the lodge.:D

Hi Bill, we're not long back from HH and did the Tommy's treasure hunt, the think was there was only one piece of treasure left so we replaced with 4 new pieces. i was wondering how many pieces there where left?

good tips about the free stuff

jj.........;)

JJ,
We did the hunt on Wed. and there were 4 pieces left (now there are 3).

That was very nice of you to replenish the treasure. From reading the boards, I thought there might only be one piece left but it was a pleasant suprise to see the container filled back up.

Thanks,
Bill

We will be going to HH this weekend for 3 days. I was wondering if the pool at the resort or at the beach house are open yet.

Hi Gina, we where there from the 16-21 march and both pools were open. The Beach House had just taken delivery of new sun loungers and chairs. The only thing was not open was the Signals.

sell-out will be this spring.

LOL

We have been hearing this for the last four years. Every year, "HH sell out will be this spring", I am not sure why they do this, but it is getting to be a very funny running gag.

For anyone thinking about add-ons, my bet is that you have plenty of time.

These resorts, HH and VB, are probably slowing way down in sales. People are able to be more informed before the sales pitch and are less likely to fall for their lies. I think that more and more people do realize that home resort DOES matter regardless of what the timeshare sales people tell them.

Magic Cruiser,
Both pools at Hilton Head are open all year, and they are both heated. The pool on the resort has a slide which is also open all year, although in the slower, winter months, the slide is open upon request. There are times that a pool may be closed for maintenance or refurbishment, but they are normally open all year.

Try doing an add-on at HH; most use years are sold out - at least mine is. Why would they tell me this if it wasn't? I would think if use years start to sell out, it's a pretty good sign the resort as a whole is close to a sell out.

Rich,
It is close to sellout. I tried to addon to my HHI points and my use year was sold out.

Signals opened for the season on Monday 3/25. They added a few items but the menu is pretty much the same.

The Beach House pool was closed for 1/2 a day on Sat. because some one turned the wrong valve and let most of the water out Fri. night  But CM Bob had it ready by noon.

At the risk of restarting this conversation, I really do believe the resort is near sellout. I think Disney thought they could put their name on anything and it would sell (like HH & VB). It took some time for people to discover these wonderful resorts and decide they wanted to own (lease) a little piece of them.

I believe HH sold out first because it is easier to get to (a lot can drive) and it is located in a resort town.

Any one hear how VB is doing? Last I heard is around 55% sold out.

Another find by Patti (sweetp0618), who now reports that there are two coins left. Thanks to all of you who find and replenish it. This has gone on much longer (and better I might add) than ever expected.
