WE are light packers so i really don't think this should be a problem. However, mom will be in the other car so the other impala will have 2 adults, 1 teen and my nephew who is small for his age (8) and neice small as well(5).
all we are going to do is drive from mco and pop back and forth to the parks and maybe take their buses to the parks if we get lazy and don't want to drive.
I've had several Impalas as company cars and we have carried 3 adults and 2 kids ( 9 and 5 ) with no problem. We also had three large pieces of luggage in the trunk with 3 carryons.
Plenty of room! Last year, we had a rented Impala for 4 adults: Me, my DH, our tiny female friend, and TFF's DH who is 6'8" tall and must be near 400 lbs. We all were quite comfortable. We had luggage for 4 and everything fit in the trunk. You should be fine.
We own 2 Impalas a 2001 and a 2006. The family is tall (DH 6'2, Me 6', DS 6'5 and dd 6'). We can all fit in either car with no problems - even all at once.
The trunk is pretty large, I have never had any problem fitting in sets of golf clubs along with luggage. Unless you have 6 or more very large suitcases I don't think you'd have any trouble getting stuff in there.
