I just realized that I put the first dining report, on "ESPN", in with my first day's trip report - I'm just recopying it here, and the rest will be separate. I'm going to put the "Eat to the Beat" food report in a report by itself because it's long.

ESPN ('snack') - it was about .. what? 11:30 or so? and we didn't have a lot of choices, so we headed to ESPN. They were only serving appetizers at that point, and we ended up being the last ones there! LOL This was the first time I'd eaten there -- I've been in before, with Evan to play video games, but not had any food. I can sorta see why I hadn't bothered! LOL I got Nachos, and
I wasn't thrilled with them. It was a large enough portion, yes .. but they didn't have much topping. The meat was not good, and the eensy little bit of cheese that was on there was not even melted! They literally just threw some finely shredded cheese on top and that was it. Dave had the wings, and he was just "ehhhh" about those too. Debbie had chicken tenders, and I think she did like those. I wouldn't go back here again... though I do think I am in the minority,in general, b/c most people seem to like it here!

California Grill (dinner) - another amazing meal here .. as usual! Once that whole crowd thing went away, it was a wonderful experience. And I was *finally* able to sit in the 'glass room'! I've been wanting to forever - no reason, just because .. it's there! LOL It's quite pretty, and measurably more quiet than the other part of the restaurant.

To start, Debbie had the Triple Cheese flatbread, which was good, as always! Dave and Julie had the Handmade Pork Eggrolls - Dave gets these almost every time we're here, and it was Julie's first try, and they both enjoyed them. I've sampled these before myself, and they *are* good! Nice crispy wrap, not greasy, and very tasty filling inside. I had a sushi appetizer that's not on the menu. I don't even remember (hmm .. wonder why? <eg>) how I got to talking to the waiter about this dish in the first place, but I was glad I took the recommendation! It was like a California Roll, except it had Shrimp Tempura in it, and BOY was it good! I could have had a double or triple order of this for my entree! Excellent! Even Dave tried it, and didn't hate it - that's saying a lot! LOL For our entrees .. Dave and Debbie had the Center Cut Beef Filet - surprise! .. not! LOL In between there were also pretty fair amts of red wine consumed too, though I'll be damned if I can remember what it was! :O (gotta start taking notes at these things I guess! ;) Julie had one of my favorites - the Pork Tenderloin, and she liked it a lot!! I had the Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli, with brown butter, sage vinagrette and pepito pesto - outstanding!!!!!!!! I love anything pumpkin flavored, sweet or savoury, and this was perfect! As for dessert .. I DO know that Debbie had her Butterscotch Creme Brulee, and loved it. What I DON'T recall is whether anyone else had dessert or not! LOL (did we Julie??)
Guess if I did, it didn't make a big impression on me! ;O

1900 Park Fare (breakfast) - Seems that "Pooh & Co" are in residence here at breakfast now too! Geez - you can't escape them! Alice in Wonderland was also there, as was Mary Poppins & Bert (outside the entrance), but I *wish* they'd stop trying to shove the Hundred Acre gang down our throats at every turn!! LOL
The selection was the same as it has been, and it's good. Besides "Pooh", the only other downside to this breakfast is that it *can* get a little loud, because of the size of the room, the organ thing playing, the amt of people it holds. Still, I like it!!

Flame Tree BBQ (Animal Kingdom) (Lunch) - I'm not sure of the last time we ate here .. if ever! (geez, I am losing it when I can't remember food! <G>) Luckily, it really did turn out to be a good, fast food type lunch! I had the BBQ Chicken Salad, which was quite good. It had a 'rub' type bbq chicken breast, cut into a nice salad, ranch dressing, served in a big tortilla type shell. Debbie had this too, and liked it as well. You can substitute the dressing if you want something else. Julie had the Pork, and she liked that, and Dave had the Ribs, which he really liked! In fact, I liked those too, since they also had the rub type bbq seasoning on them. Pretty good baked beans came with his meal also.
Norway's Princess Breakfast (Epcot) - This is the first time Dave, Julie and I have eaten here. Debbie tried it on her August trip. I'm always one who's up for new things, so I figured we'd give it a shot. I've never even stepped foot in Restaurant Akershus, and was surprised when we were led to our table - it's beautiful in here!!
Very appropriate place for a "princess" meal, as the inside looks like a castle! It's quite large too, with several rooms. I wasn't terribly impressed with the food however. When you get to your table, there's a 3 tiered server, with 3 or 4 strawberries on one plate, 3 or 4 pastries on the another plate, and a couple strawberries on the other plate. Once you're seated, you get your beverages, and the food is brought in a skillet, all together, and placed on the rack. There's scrambled eggs, french toast sticks, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. (I think pancakes are available too, because I saw them on someone else's platter when we were leaving ..) Maybe it's just me, but I thought the eggs were overcooked, the sausage undercooked, and the french toast sticks a little hard. In fact, they were like the ones you buy at .. BJ's or something, in big quantities! LOL Honestly, I'm not usually one to say a meal is too expensive or overpriced, but .. in this case, it is. For a lot less money, you can go to the Electric Umbrella in Future World and get a much better breakfast burrito, and other things, for less than half the price. Get an espresso from the bakery if it's open, and you'll be a lot happier! LOL

ABC Commissary (MGM) - We just had a quick meal here - kid's meals in fact. They gave us no problem about 3 adults getting these either. I had the fish & chips child's portion, which was one piece of fish and fries. The others had the chicken tenders and fries, and they all seemed to like them! We've stopped in here several times before to grab a quick bite, and have always been happy with our choices.

Thanks for the reviews and your honest opinion of the new princess breakfest!

Imbe@aol.com, thanks for the review. My daughter & I actually ate at many of the same restaurants that you listed here about two weeks ago. We had great meals and great times. I have to end my post now since I need to raid my 'fridge after reading your review. ;)

I hate to say it, but the last time we went to ESPN Club (last month), I noticed it to be lacking. In the past I've really enjoyed the place, but there seemed to be a quality issue this past time. I think I'll give the place one more chance, though. :)

The Wine Room at the CG is very nice, isn't it? When you walk out of it into the main dining room you really notice the difference in noise levels:D .

I agree with you about ESPN...tried it once and probably won't go back unless the football-crazed men in my family insist!
