Imagination Movers Canceled!?!?!?!?!

That's a bummer. My little ones enjoyed this show as well; but it seemed like things were heading in this direction because the time slots for this show kept changing. It seems like Disney is still trying to establish a niche in the preschool programming arena. The only Disney Junior show my 2 and 4 year olds regularly watch now is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They have kind of lost interest in Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso, and surprisingly even the new Jake and the Neverland Pirates show. However, they are super huge Nick Junior fans and love those shows and characters. My 9 year old twins were big Playhouse Disney fans when the shows Rollie Pollie Olie, Bear in the Big Blue House, Jo Jo's Circus, etc. were on the air; but like my youngest two, once my twins turned about 3 and a half years old or so they started gravitating more to Nick Junior programming. Hopefully Disney will reconsider the decision to cancel this show. I think a music based preschool show with real people has a strong appeal, especially looking at how popular the Fresh Beat Band and Yo Gabba Gabba shows are on Nick Junior.

My kids LOVE the Movers. They loved their live concert even more. I'm definitely bummed!

My guys like the movers. Its not there favorite but they enjoy it sometimes. Can't figure why they cancelled it. After all, they still show that horrible Timmy show. Who actually thought that one up.

Oh no!! I'm so bummed about this. The Movers are my sons favorite, he is going to be so disappointed. I can't imagine that they aren't doing well, they just had a huge tour. Ugh, I'm going to have to start dvring the episodes.

My DDs like the Movers - Heck, I like the Movers!! I guess it was kinda obvious that this was going to happen since I could barely find them on TV anymore.... what a stinker! What are they going to put on instead - Kick Buttowski???? NOT a show in my house!

They are not taping new shows but Disney will still be airing the episodes already recorded for a long time, like they do with every show. They have a lot that haven't aired yet. The movers are still planning to tour too.

Oh no - we love the Movers here. We even imported their CDs from Amazon as we can't get them in NZ. Now our whole kindergarten grooves out to their music. They are great role models for young boys too. Grr. My kids have just been dancing to one of their CDs before their bath.

It will be a sad sad day in our house when/if they don't show Imagination Movers anymore. It's my DS's favorite show ever. I pray that my DVR doesn't break anytime soon, we have about 12 episodes on there.

The Movers did say they will be putting out a DVD soon though. Yeah for that!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! We love the Movers. Play the pick it up song over and over again while the kids are cleaning up the play room, they love that song.

We still watch dvd's of Jo Jo's Circus, can't believe they cancelled it either.

We're huge movers fans in this house and my 7yo was sad when I told her that they weren't making any new episodes, because she has a crush on Rich & Dave. But at least we have plenty of CD's to keep her & her 2yo brother happy + episodes on the DVR and On Demand (for now at least).

I'm just happy that they're still planning on touring. I wanted to take my kids to their concert so badly, but I was pregnant and the concert was less than 1 week before my due date

On a side note, my kids also love the Wiggles and my DD was heartbroken when they were no longer on Disney, but they're now on sprout, so maybe the Movers could get picked up elsewhere, as well?!

Boo!! We love the Imagination Movers! In fact, I call my little one "mouse" because he is my warehouse mouse. I would sing Where is warehouse mouse to him and it was one of the first things he responded to when he was younger.

The Wiggles are still going strong in Aussie and NZ, to the point of saturation. They do a huge tour annually and take in both countries. If you ever get to Australia you can do to Wiggles World at Dreamworld and Wiggle Bay at WhiteWater World. That was my kids first experience of a theme park and now they are gearing up for Disneyland next year.

Oh no - now there's going to be no more Jo Jo's Circus? Gack, I'm not telling the kids.

Disney cancels every show after season 3, except thus far for Hannah Montana and Wizards, and possibly That's So Raven?

That is their show cycle - I think they do this as they always have new shows in development, and they give new meaning to the word, reruns! I have never seen a network play reruns as much as Disney! I have read several articles on the subject over the years about how they have a short show cycle.

We like the movers here too, Tiger

My youngest used to love The Movers ~ it was the only show that would keep his attention. Now that he's discovered Little Einsteins, he prefers that show, but he always watches Where Is Warehouse Mouse. I'm glad they will still air the old episodes as I think he'll like them when he gets a little older.
