I'm.........

The day was VERY hectic, but the night was great - I had a few martinis and a great filet - very yummy! :goodvibes

The day was hectic due to being at the vet all morning. Some may have saw the thread, but for those that didn’t, a tick I removed on 5/23 gave my dog an illness that is causing kidney failure. When I was posting last weekend about my Sophie not being herself is when she was sick. She’s now taking a strong antibiotic to hopefully kill whatever is in her system to stop attacking the kidneys. Not a good situation.

Also hectic that day with prom preparations that was yesterday. Everything went well and Katie and her DBF looked so formal & glamorous - those two athletes cleaned up well.

Currently…..
I’m relaxing in the car between Semi-State softball games. They have to win 2 to go to State next weekend. They won game 1 and game 2 is in 2 hours. I’m starting to get nervous. I’m not with Katie, she’s with her team, and I’m sure she and all the girls are getting a little nervous too. Big big game!!
I am so happy to hear about your pup

I’m a very proud and happy mom.
Katie & team won their second game and are going to State on Saturday. I couldn’t be more proud of all these girls. They are now the #1 team in the state - only allowing 19 runs this whole season and are 32-1. The team we are playing is awesome too, but they allowed over 100 runs this season and are 30-2. It’s going to be a great game to see who is the final #1 team in the state for 2021.

I am doing well in my recovery from the rectocele repair on May 26, but I am finding thats it’s not a straight line road to recovery. I think my “over 70” body is doing its best. So, I am a little sad.

Good luck. It does seem to take longer to recover from things when we get older.
Just keep resting and doing what you are supposed to.

And.....it is so much harder to take care of two young kids!! My house is a mess, I'm tired, the laundry is still waiting to be folded and put away.

^ Anniversaries are only once a year. You are doing a great service for your family ! I think it was very generous of you to give them a whole weekend.

Take a deep breath!

We always take them, but it gets harder and harder.
One kid was easier. That was the year we sent them to Aulani. And DD still lived here (that helped too!)
We have them one night a month. Always have. Just getting harder with the different sleep schedules.
DGD is a sleep in/stay up late one and DGS is get up early/go to bed early. I have to cover it all

I wish......not much longer. They are getting lunch and then coming.....but plan on going in the pool with the kids.
We have been in 4 times in the last couple of days. Still washing towels.
It usually takes me a week to catch up on sleep!! :rotfl:

Looking forward to going to AAA and booking some cruises on Tuesday

Fun! What cruises are you looking at?

I am watching the Phillies game, and I finished this puzzle earlier. I enjoy afternoon baseball games, because I watch the game and do puzzles.

Looking at Southern Caribbean in March, Alaska girls trip (plus DGS) for June and Alaska for me and DH again next Sept (one of our favorite cruises)

Hugs to both of you!

I’m loving that Katis is done with normal school (she’s taking 2 online summer school classes (classes mandatory for your diploma) so she doesn’t have to take them her senior year) because now I can leave her a list of things to do when I’m at work. I do this every day, every summer, and it helps me immensely. With our weekends never home, everything needs to get done during the week. The very busy weekends start this weekend. Her travel team has its first tournament this weekend. I will go Friday since I’m a coach, but Katie can’t because she’s still rostered with HS. Then Saturday is the state game and it’s almost 3 hours away and at 7:00pm (that will be a late night coming home). Then Sunday she puts on her travel team jersey and we finish off that tournament (I’m praying we don’t have an 8am game Sunday - that will really stink if we do). So, as you can see, our weekends from now until the first weekend of November are go go go!!

I am outside, on my porch watching the birds, lots of babies coming to eat with their Mama/Dads! A new one is a blue Jay who comes to get some seed and then flies off to where the est is.

Our fish pond water has cleared like it usually does and the waterfall is such a delight to listen to every morning.

DH is having a PET test right now, they are looking at some on his lung. Praying that it’s “nothing” like they think, but want to be sure.

Good luck with the test. Hoping for a good outcome.

He isn’t sure when he will get the results. He’s sleeping now.
