I'm.........

Safe journey Bobbi!

And I dislike the two bathroom design of the Poly studios too but we love the Poly's location so much.

Extremely windy here (gusts up to 80 mph) yesterday and today and probably tomorrow too.

We went to see Rogue 1 today; liked it but felt the first 30 minutes were somewhat wasted.

We have a wind advisory now, but gusts to 60mph. Yours are even worse!

This will probably be the only time at Poly villas. We like trying new places though so had to give it a try.

I'm headed to Epcot today.

I'm on way to NJ... we have a rented van full of things we want in Cape May when we move there.

Bobbi - Sounds like you're making serious prep for that big move! I'm crossing my fingers for a successful house sale for you this spring; you certainly deserve it!

Nancy - Please give me some more feedback on the Poly studio when you get a chance. I am concerned about where we will plug in DH's big ECV (his is larger than most) to charge it each night. Someone suggested using a plug in the hall but I'm not sure we want to do this. Thanks!

Are you in a studio? Getting a HA room?
Just looked out in the hall..............no outlets I can see. There must be some somewhere though, they do vacuum.
I would definitely request a HA room and see about the options.

What would you like to know?

I am getting ready to leave for the Pocono area. That's where Bill's funeral will be tomorrow. It is too far for a day trip.

Yes, we are in a studio on rented points and did not request HA. Interesting about the lack of hall outlets but they must be somewhere as you said. Maybe we'll bring a long extension cord.

Or maybe we could recharge the ECV in one of the bathrooms overnight?

If not, we're also considering requesting one of the chairs etc. be moved from the room to accomodate the ECV. I read somewhere that they will sometimes move out furniture when asked.

Can you check to see where outlets are in the studio other than the standard locations?

Thanks!

Sorry, Bobbi. Hang in there. Best wishes to all

Kathy will the bigger ECV fit through a standard door way?
As soon as DH gets up, I will do an outlet search :rotfl:

Are there 2 or you or 3?
The chairs are on a corner. They don't take much room. I will look in the hall ways again.
The larger bathroom would have room, but it is right inside the door. Can it turn sharp? The front door opens toward the bathroom. There is a little indent on the other side where the connecting door is.

Just looked in the hall again. There are outlets........every four doors on one side of the hall only.

If you don't need to use the sofa bed, you could move the coffee table by the door and it would fit there.

There is a lot of the room on the balcony if you can get it out there. The door is very wide. No outlet outside, but one by the desk you could use with an extension cord. You would have to leave the door open a tad.
There is an outlet high by the desk and one lower in the same area.
There are outlets under the nightstands....and not on the wall but literally under. Hard to get to.
Outlet on the wall by the drop down bed by the kitchenette side.
Standard bathroom and kitchenette ones.

Nancy, you are a lifesaver! So much good information and lots of ideas for us. Thank you so much for locating all the outlets and possible options.

All three of us will be staying in the room and probably using the sofabed as well. I might even be sleeping on the drop down bed since DH needs lots of room for his bad back.

The ECV may not be able to turn into the bathrooms so the balcony seems like an excellent alternative. We'll be sure to bring a long extension cord for all the possibilities. In addition, it wouldn't subtract from our limited living space!

Hope your exploration didn't bother your DH!

Thanks again; I'm going to share all this with DH later today.

Have a great day! :wave2:

Glad to help.
I am sleeping on the drop down bed.....the other bed hurt my back. The drop down is more comfy.

That's great to hear! DS will probably get the sofabed since he is too tall for the drop down.

Oh Bobbi - Glad to hear that you are back but I know the healing is just beginning for everyone. You have certainly been through so much as a family lately. Hopefully you can start looking forward to some happy time in a few months.

Thank you.

I enjoy reading how you are planning your upcoming trip!
