I'm.........

Jo - Definitely hope you get to WDW sometime soon since several things will be changing or going away. But since you haven't been you would certainly enjoy what is already there.

I've been considering all the upcoming WDW changes and have decided that I don't want to wait until 2018/2019 for Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land to open; that's toooooo long! I'm thinking about going to WDW in the fall of 2017. Maybe Pandora Land or whatever it's going to be called will be open by then.

I have to be realistic, I can't afford to travel. I have other things that need paying for other than trips. But I am okay with that.

I am so glad we can travel. We never did much when the kids were young, so making up for it now.
Hope to spend all our retirement money while we can. :rotfl:

I think the new land in Animal Kingdom is Pandora. Hope it is good. Due sometime in 2017
Our Jan. trip will be the last for a year. We switch to DLR.

That is why I don't mind hearing about people and their travels. I get to hear about the new stuff.

I read about the things closing and coming so I can be prepared.
Most of it here on the Dis.

We traveled some while DS was growing up and I'm glad he got to see the Southwest and states other than Florida :-).

A trip to Alaska and WDW will be possible because I received some retirement funds from my last job; a job I worked myself to the bone for and was poorly paid doing. It's bonus money that we didn't count on in retirement and I plan to spend it doing things I want to do!

And Nancy, we feel the same way about spending our money while retired. :)

I'm home enjoying a free day............plan do to some of my crafts, read and watch TV

We did travel some......CA a lot when parents were there. Canada of course since it was our backdoor. And Yellowstone.
I think CA was the most because of both families being there.
We have 2 cruises booked, 2 WDW trips booked, a road trip to NM in the works, 2 DLR trips booked and 3 more in the planning stages.
Looking for another cruise destination. Any ideas?

Your travel plans sound wonderful Nancy! I so enjoy having future trips up my sleeve; something to dream about and look forward to!

We've never cruised and honestly have no desire to even though our friends keep trying to get us to join them.

In fact, not cruising has made our Alaska travel planning more complicated. Even though we can certainly drive or rent an RV to do our Alaska touring it appears that many of the better hotels especially near Denali are already booked solid for next summer by the cruise lines and tour operators. We may have to use a TA which I really don't want t do.

Ideas for cruising? My mom hated her cruise around the Hawaiian islands. If I did ever cruise it would be a river cruise in Europe or to see the fjords in Scandinavia.

I love cruising!! Lots of stops for excursions and no packing between. Just take your room with you.
I think I have done around 17 cruises now.

Been to the fjords.......so beautiful! We took a 3 1/2 week cruise last Oct. That went to Norway, England, Shetland Island and Iceland.
I do want to do a HI cruise.....but we'll see. Looking for something different.

Oh go back to bed. We had been busy the whole 3 day weekend. I am looking forward to just relaxing today.

Nope.....too wound up right after. Too awake later. Don't do naps.
I'm about to start fall cleaning..............slowly

no energy.....DGD took it all over the weekend.
Just have things that need to get done

I just got back from our TSA Pre-Check screening appointment. Hope to be approved so we can save time in lines in the future.

I'm feeling like my motivation is almost all drained because I miss one person. Sometimes it's hard to cope with loneliness. :worried:

I'm very busy these days......working on a couple vacation plans, scrap booking, fall cleaning and all the family things.
Trying to get a lot done before our next trip.

Okay guys, don't tell anyone I'm eating something I am not suppose, but oh my gosh it tastes so good. A good old ding dong. I forgot how good they are....:rolleyes1
