I'm.........

always cartridges.......how many depends. They are usually about $10 a cartridge that way, some times less.
This month I ordered and got 3 cartridges and it was $25
They also come with other things......cutting mats, blades, other kinds of things to cut. I think this month I got 2 colors of plastic to cut on.
I've gotten pens, tools.
Thank you for letting me know.

So you would just need a font cartridge?
You might find it addicting and do other things for fun.
They are layering so you can get lots of cute things.
Fun paper crafts and cards too.
I have several Disney cartridges, but the layering takes a lot of time. So cute when done though

this is the newer, bigger one I have

DD doesn't really like teaching....not so much the kids, but the parents and the politics. Title one school so a lot harder to deal with all the drama.

Yes, my DD loved my Little Pony when she was little. Wish we knew, we could have saved them. She had at least 30 of them and castles and all those other things.

I haven't scrap booked in almost a year! Something always comes up. I keep buying cartridges though. I am a sucker for the mystery boxes that Cricut has every month. I try not to buy one more than 3 times a year though.

Yes, teaching has really changed in the 9 years since I left it. My last job was supporting/coaching new teachers in a big high school. While I really enjoyed that part I hated to see that despite all the support much more was expected of them than seemed reasonable.

Accountability ruled; gone was the chance to grow into the profession. I wish your DD the best; I'm sure she's aware of all the great sites on the web for teachers now. Is she looking into working in another school? Math teachers are in high demand in many places now.

I know what you mean about the Cricut kits drawing you in! I can't resist checking Hobby Lobby's scrapbooking aisles when I go in for decorative items. And those emails about sales from various companies. I think I am addicted to collecting scrapbooking supplies!

I'm resting today after hours of housework yesterday; maybe the physical therapy will help!

I am right there with you Kathy. I may fall asleep of and on today. I got my doggies right here sleeping as well.

DD wants a job outside of teaching or teaching online. She looks all the time.....for years. Just not enough jobs for all those looking.
Since she has a new house, no choice but to keep plugging away.
She got a surprise this year.....she was chosen to have a second teacher for one block a day. She is not happy about that at all. It isn't her room anymore, it is their room.

I have so many scrap booking supplies. And I am so far behind on getting them done. Haven't even started Aria's yet. Still back in 2011!!

Party day today :yay:

I hope DD's situation improves; know what it's like to share a room. They are always advertising for that K-12 online schooling here but the requirements look daunting (at least to me). As a department head I often volunteered to 'float' from room to room and was always on pins and needles about sharing.

Yeah, my scrapbooking supplies fill my loft area and part of my other room upstairs! A bit of hoarders, we are! Behind doesn't begin to describe how much I need to do to catch-up.

Sometime I should post a question in the DIS scrapbooking forum about the lettering for my "twig ball". I want to put the names of special places I have been i.e. Mt. Rainier, the Eiger etc. but need ideas about doing the lettering. Here's the twig ball:

It's about a foot high and I am a horrible hand labeler so I will look for ideas!

I also have a big shadow box to put my souvenir travel pins on but have to figure out what background should be in it.

Have a great party day Nancy!

Maybe find someone that can wood burn the names on it.
I was going to say do that, or maybe use stencil and then put the ball together. But she could still do stencil on it. Different colors would look good.
I need a nap soon, and I am sure slow.

Stenciling is even better maybe; I could even make my own stencils.

Go enjoy your nap Jo!

You could make the letters with different colors. I wonder how that chalkboard paint would do. I have a 2 tier table that I need to paint, but not sure I want the thing in red.

Have fun with it, Kathy.

Happy nap time, Jo?

I just broke my toe  I seem to do that too often these days.

3 weeks until a short visit to WA. It will be good enough to walk around then
I broke 3 toes and my foot 3 weeks before a trip to DLR and was fine as long as I took a break and elevated it.

Yep....great news. They have a hard time getting pregnant, so glad it finally happened and it will be the last one so done with that.
Now if only DD would find someone :teeth:
