I'm.........

I'm super tired.........didn't sleep well, DGD wears me out and the day at the zoo was a big warm

Oh, Nancy so sorry. I swear we get more tired as we get older and we don't want to admit it…..:rolleyes1

LOL....I admit it.
She is a ball of energy and she gets it from sucking it out of everyone around her. At least DD was there too, so she could chase her around.

Good luck, Bobbi. I would like one too. DH has been coughing a lot and I wake up easily.

Nancy - Loved your post above! I have always said that the kids just drain us of every ounce of energy! Much as I love seeing my nieces and nephews I am always so glad to have them go home.

Got the home inspection of our Colorado house; one problem with shingles they need to replace and lots of small issues but otherwise good!

How long will it take them to change the shingles?. I wish when you put homes on the market get these things done so issues are taken care of.

Well, once we saw the entire actual inspection report there were more items that need attention :headache:. In the 9 years they've owned the house they never had the heating/air serviced etc. We've divided the items listed into MUST and Ignore but there are many safety items listed. Apparently our worries about them being in financial straits seem to be true. And a couple of insurance funded repairs due to hail damage done a few years ago evidently went to the lowest bidder.

So we will speak with the agents tonight to see how much we can press for repairs etc. Since the sellers already feel we got the house for too low a price I'm sure they'll be receptive to our demands :sad2:.

Do you really want it if they have all these needed repairs? Or would you be better off finding one that is in better shape and willing to with you?

Good question....we'll probably stick with it since houses we like are very hard to find there and sell fast. We're rapidly getting to a point where other arrangements to move will force us to decide.

Well maybe renting some where else is warranted right now. At least it would give you time to find a better place. No need to stress out about this.

We've considered that quite a bit but:
  • DH is 100% against this (but not me)
  • rental houses are few in number and go even quicker than sale homes out there
Hopefully we can work things out with the seller without too many problems.

I hope it goes well.

You're such a sweetie, Jo...a good DIS friend!

Well, after this experience we may consider renting forever....as our good friends do in their retirement!
