Well, Belle most likely has a tumor, the vet expected the cyst that she removed earlier this month to be malignant but it wasn't but something is "there." So, we have signed papers authorizing euthanasia if her legs fail again when we are out of town. We are packing for our NYE trip. Belle has been a good dog, rescued when she was 7 1/2, now she is 12.

I don't know whether it's better to happen while you're away or at home.....

We need to box up just about every loose item in the 4 bedrooms and closets and to move items currently in cardboard containers in the storage area into more new storage containers.

I'm tired......took the tree down today and it took 4 hours to pack the ornaments up

I bought new plastic containers and cardboard storage dividers for the ornaments which should make packing up our tree this weekend easier.

They start remodeling our bathroom on Monday .

We are looking in the county just to our north (Frederick, MD) for a one level home with no yard.

Good luck in the house search......so just a different kind of house and not a completely new area.
We went from 4 acres to less than 1/4. Big change. Still have 2 stories though...........and of course moved from WA to AZ

We currently have 2.63 acres and 2700 finished sq. ft. but the overall house upkeep and the yard maintenance is a constant budget and time buster. I'd love to move to somewhere in Colorado but that would be too far from my family, especially my 87 year old mom. We haven't totally ruled out Asheville, NC yet but it is still a small possibility.

I'm a little jealous that you have made a successful move closer to your family! You are inspiration to me right now.

I'm thinking about what to pack for my upcoming trip

Well, one was here when we moved, but we told them we would be moving to AZ one day.
The other came after she graduated and wanted to be with everyone else. She took care of the house we bought until we could get here.
We hire yard maintenance here............too hot a lot of the year to work outside.
Our house here is bigger though by about 500 sf.
