I'm back from seeing the Star Wars movie....cooking dinner now

We saw that movie last Sunday; liked it but not my favorite!

I'm taking a break before finishing packing up my craft room; they're laying the carpet tomorrow.

Both bathrooms are done now. I will post pics later this week.

I'm back from the zoo. A bit cold, but we had fun

I'm cleaning up after DGD.....she just left

We're finally completely ready for carpet replacement tomorrow. Even the dresser drawers have been moved to the bathrooms. What a pain!

Glad everything is getting done, Kathy.

I'm going to be spending most of tomorrow and Tuesday cooking for the family to get them ready for me to be gone

It's a good feeling but there is much more to do!

So you're leaving the family well fed; that's so nice! I'm impressed!

I'm off to a doctor's appointment and another visit to BBB for various house items.

I'm almost done with today's cooking......have a huge pile of dishes to do.

I cook every week for DS and family.....2-3 dinners and usually something special for DGD (this week pizza).
Because I am so busy this week I am cooking Wed's family dinner ahead of time and reheating, so that is what I will be doing tomorrow.
My freezer is full of leftovers for DH.
Now I need to find time to get me ready to go!

Sounds good Nancy! You're a great mom to do this for everyone.

I'm heading to the basement to work on packing up items we're donating; finally found a charitable group who will come this week to remove them.

New carpet is done and the handymen are here patching up small cracks, touch-up painting and so on. Cleaning services have been coming to estimate what a complete cleaning right before agents' open house will cost; not our request but the realtors like to list it in house info .

All the above is much more than we did back in 2008 when the house was listed before so hopefully it will help.

I've said enough but maybe these entries will serve as my house prep diary!

I am done with the cooking for today.....well, it is for the family dinner tomorrow. Enchiladas......3 kinds because of DGD and her allergy.

Lots of work, Kathy. You are moving along great.
We had our last house for sale for 2 1/2 years.....not a great time to do it and it was a pain to keep it show ready. Although not much showing happened because of the market and the location.
Took it off the market until things got better.....moved here anyway. DH was still working there so took care of it.
Listed it again and it sold in 6 weeks.

The house next door just went up for sale about a week ago and it already sold. The houses here are going as fast as they go up for sale. An eldery woman bought it.

The market is much better now than it was when we tried to sell............that was 2008. The real estate market tanked.

Our house prices have finally gotten back to where they were or better. Builders have been building again for a couple of years.

They are starting to build here again. When things started selling it was a lot of brokers here that were buying it up and selling. But it is getting a little better here slowly.
