I'm.........

The original Victoria one for DH was cancelled because they thought the ship arrived too late. I do too. 5 pm
Mine was a bus tour of the city and tea. That was cancelled yesterday. Not sure why.
Icy Strait Point and the glacier viewing were cancelled. Added Ketchikan and and earlier arrival in Juneau. DH salmon bake was moved from dinner to lunch. Which is fine.
Our first Skagway one one was town tour and sled dogs. Cancelled a couple weeks ago. We took the tour to the Summit. That was cancelled today. Nothing is listed at all anymore for Skagway so not sure what is going on with that.

We did this exact same cruise and ship in June and everything was fine.
We're very familiar with all these places, so walking them will work, just so annoying.
Sounds like everything is just turned upside down.

I'm spending the day going laundry and recovering from a late football game.

Oh, well that’s a reason. My sister was in Norway on a cruise…one guide only spoke German! It was beautiful scenery, but they sorely needed a better guide.
That is unacceptable. I mean you pay a decent price for the tours and you cant understand anything.

That is what we do there.....shop. Like the building with the local vendors.
The kids liked playing on the beach.....even though it is just rocks.
I loaded a lot of books and movies on my tablet so I am set. And we have a nice room.
That is what we did there too, we walked from one side to the other, and played on the beach a little, then went shopping, back to the ship and enjoyed our cabin.

Very good. Health evaluator came yesterday…Tom got up and down from recliner to standing 5 times in 30 seconds.👍
This is good news - prayers that Tom continues to improve 🙏🏻
Covid test done......paperwork in folder.
Flu shot done.
Off to airport tomorrow morning :yay:
Have a great trip! :cool1:

I’m keeping busy - never a dull moment - even as a new empty nester.

Yesterday I hacked into my left ring finger with the hedge trimmers, so that was not fun. Luckily DH is an EMT and superglued the skin back together to get the bleeding to stop. Needless to say, my finger is in a lot of pain now, but since it could have been so much worse, I’ll choose to be grateful for the fact that it wasn’t worse and suck it up with the pain. I’m going to take it easy tonight and watch the Queen’s Funeral that I DVRd.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Glad your DH helped you out regarding your finger, slo!

I had 10 day check up for carpal tunnel procedure. I have exercises to do, and learned to massage certain areas of palm and later my wrist. I still have to take it easy.

Tom meets his oncologist, check up, tomorrow. He’s coming along. We both have to take it easy.

Baked some bacon in the oven for BLT’s today. Jersey tomatoes, the last of our crop, so good!

I'm felling pretty good! Always thinking about moving to Florida so I can be close to the parks! Anyone else?? :yay: :ssst::love:
We gave it some thoughts. Looked around at places we could be snowbirDS, but in the end, DH didn’t want two houses. We settled in Cape May NJ, and visit the parks when we can. We are retired.

If you decide to move, best wishes! Keep in touch, and tells us all how it goes!

I would love to work at the parks when retired (a gift shop or something like that) and my DH said he would like to drive a Disney bus when retired, but in the end I doubt that will ever happen. We’ll end up retiring wherever our DD19 lives someday, so I’m hoping that’s somewhere warm - LOL! I’m getting really bored of Chicago winters :cold:

I’m looking forward to a nice hot day today - the only thing that would make it better is if it was a weekend day. It’s going to be almost 90 degrees - kinda crazy for us this time of year. I love the heat! 😎☀️

My parents live in the Tampa area and my DS used to work for Disney so it was a no brainer. He has since moved to Australia. Now its just about getting our home ready to sell, my MIL's home ready to sell, finding a job and buying a house. It all gets so complicated though. If you find a house before the job it could be a long commute. I wish I was retired and didn't have to worry about that part but we are still fairly young. Lol. DH and I both early 50's. I'd love to be a snow bird. DH works a remote job for a hospital in Boston and we have been up there to visit several times this past year. Summer months were beautiful in NE but the winter was horrible. We live in MS now so really wouldn't be snow birds keeping our house here. LOL.

I don't do the cold! I'd love to work at the parks now! LOL My parents live in the Tampa area and my DS used to work for Disney so it was a no brainer. He has since moved to Australia. Unfortunately we wont be following him there! 😞

Haven't been on this post for a bit, and I apologize for not acknowledging and supporting posters during possible tough times - ones who have always been kind to me. It's been a tough start of the school year due to new district and state mandates, new curriculum, more testing, new technology, etc. The one constant is the students - they are great, but still lacking some essential skills and stamina. I am getting my mojo back, but its been tiring!

Slo...I know DD is at university, but you sent her with life skills and self-knowledge. You've set her up for success and you must be so proud! Good job. Take a breather. :cheer2:

Bobbi...I'm so glad that you had a great time at WDW! Your meal posts had me drooling. I sincerely hope that you and your husband are doing well. And I can't forget Gus. As being diverse culturally is very important (and being from the Southwest), I think that maybe you should find him a taco toy to go with his hotdog. We want to keep him relevant! And please give him a belly rub for me.

Meriweather... I know that you're not a football fan, but hey...Go Cats. ASU...We'll see. Hope Alaska was relaxing and not stormy. Is DD still looking for a teaching position? Plenty down here in the Old Pueblo!

I hope all is well with everyone...and Happy Fall. Still humid and in the 90s here. Our two weeks of Fall, when a few leaves change color, will probably occur in November!
