I’m currently waiting for a doctors appointment (just a check up). It’s kinda nice to sit here and catch up on some DIS threads. After this is the grocery store and DD’s first PT appointment.

I just got back from a doctor appointment and grocery shopping.
Watching a Lifetime movie now

leaving sunday.....things are going haywire...dog not settling down....wife has extensive leg pain....but weather is looking very good for next week southwest, early part that is .... then the scattered storms...we have to cross many flash flood washes
between Quartsite and US army proving ground.

So....looking at sunday night in Susanville, monday in Beatty and Tuesday in Henderson, south east of vegas then have to stay at motel when we arrive and open up the house and get it cooled down before we bring in dog or fix anything that has gone wrong in the vacant house.

we left friday noon, dog not doing well with other dog, californina border maybe closed/on fire......best drive on 59 out of eugene...scale of 1-10, a 100....no semis, no rvs...and once on US 97 not a single vehicle in front of us.....the west is burning, towns that had semi truck deleivers....gone....campsites gone....and air is horrible. k-falls

saturday travel thru remains of californina fire and US 395 most beauty scenery.....all gone....susanville is evac city, no hotels, but ahead of schudele so plunge thru smoke to Hawhtrone and stay in a curry Motel 6. four blocks in the city loose power, can't open windows because of smoke, power on at 9

sunday wake up real early....smoke has become fog, can't see to pass vehicles....but few vehices anyhow...Once we reach 6,000 feet in the desert, smoke is gone....temps are cold as we head into vegas..push all the way for 12 hour drive into cold yuma....thank goodness...becaus today it is 114....feels like 120. heat cooked our pool cover...storms tore it apart....pool looks like tea.....rain on monday....lower pump into pool to drain and as it drains mop off the scum

all three AC units are working great in our white trash trailer. naturally, there is no cold water.

but all our plants survied the heat...yard grew 3x times in size and our gardner loves peaches....but wife and dog are never returning back to oregon....I have permissin to take the tiny focus in May.

After work DD has a few softball games. She is still not cleared to play, but she still goes to support her team. Heat index today is going to be about 105.

Then family lunch and the kids are spending the night tonight.

What an adventure! It’s so sad about the California fires. Glad you made it home safely.

Our Gus doesn’t do well with other dogs. When we first asked to adopt him, he was 5, we were told that he had just been taken. However, we were also told that they expected him to be returned because the family had another dog. The family was warned that Gus wanted to be an only dog, but the family did not listen. ( He is a very attractive Black and Tan Coon Hound,). Well, on Monday, I got the email that Gus was available.

I’m hot and tired - long day
We got home around 8:30pm and our next game is at 8:00am tomorrow morning. We’ll be leaving the house at 6:00am. If the team keeps winning then they keep playing. The heat index will be over 100 again tomorrow
