...that's how we all felt after that 42-minute call. He originally made DVC reservations in January, for May 7, but kept pushing the date back after it was evident 2 weeks after the closing of WDW that WDW wasn't going to be opening any time soon. He never thought to purchase park passes because, as a family member of a CM, my other DS was going to maingate them when they arrived. SHAME ON WDW FOR NOT LETTING THE CM'S KNOW SOONER THAT ALL MAINGATING WAS CANCELED TILL FURTHER NOTICE. In essence, they now have black-out dates from the opening of the first 2 parks until further notice. Had he had this bit of info sooner, he would have purchased tickets on the spot. My DS found out about this the same day tickets were no longer bing sold. I am a diehard Disney fan, but really, I am so disillusioned by this whole thing. I could overhear the CM talking with my DS this afternoon saying that maybe they could still visit WDW for a "relaxing" vacation, like, you know, hanging out by the pool area......ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

...then the CM went on to tell him that maybe he could postpone his trip until 2021 when new dates open up. This trip was intended as a birthday gift for his GF, whose birthday, BTW, has come and gone. He had even made an ADR for their favorite restaurant for her birthday dinner. There is a little more to his story though, since his frustration is now at an all-time high. The company for which he works has an incentive program, where the top 20 salespersons IN THE WORLD get awarded a first-class all-expenses paid 4-day trip, which culminates in an awards banquet. He worked really hard to earn that, only to be told that the trip (with obvious good reason) was canceled. So, something he had really been looking forward to this October is gone, and now this whole DVC fiasco....

I'm eating breakfast but today is laundry day and I have 4 pounds of fresh mushrooms that will get turned into soup for my DH. He hates mushrooms but LOVES my cream of mushroom soup.

DH went and bought fresh bagels today, so my Sister and I get to enjoy sharing Lox on bagel sandwich!

DGS decided not to spend the night last night, but he is coming over in a few minutes so DIL can go to the grocery store without him (the others are still asleep)

Since I only have him for a little bit today, I will be cleaning downstairs, doing laundry and baking their muffins that get delivered on Mondays

......waiting for tomorrow morning, suppose to dip down into the high 60s with a high of 93, which is the temp right now at this 10:00 hour, the wind is a bursting wave of heat now and that is a good sign, the low and high front battling it out for control of the western USA...three days of good weather.. ahead...which always means the Pacific Northwest is suffering....and they are..end of june and still clouds in the air.
