It may have been. I know I email friends in Louisiana on June 7 to see how their area was preparing. I learned they had a generator. So, your itinerary may have changed.

In a recent update, Governor DeSantis announced that all individuals entering the state of Florida from Connecticut, New Jersey and New York must isolate or quarantine themselves for a period of 14 days. This order, originally set to end on May 8th, has been extended through July 7th. Quarantine should be in effect from the time of entry into Florida or the duration of the individual’s presence in Florida, whichever is shorter (potentially rendering any visit of less than two weeks unnecessary).

So, it’s just as well that we cancelled our early July trip.

I'm done making chocolate covered strawberries.....DD's request for the family lunch tomorrow.

Tomorrow is our first time back to the zoo......shouldn't take long. The kids won't just look at animals for long. No shows, no playgrounds, no splash pads, no rides.

....*WHEW*....he just makes it by the skin of his teeth! They are set to arrive the 20th of July, so they should be okay....

Unfortunately, the Executive Order does not currently have an end date so it's important to do your homework before traveling to Florida from the states mentioned above.
