I am so glad to read this update. I didn't post yesterday because I didn't have anything to add that someone else hadn't already said.

None of us should EVER accept an adult treating our kids like that, (unless the child did something severely wrong, like endangering someone's life or something and the adult was just reacting). However that wasn't the case with your DS. You absolutely did the right thing.

I hope it gets handled well by your church. Please keep us posted.

It's nice for your son to see you sticking up for him. As he gets older he will know that when the tough times come up that he can count on you to be behind him.

I am glad you reported this to the church. If I am reading correctly, you haven't reported it to the police yet. If you haven't, I agree that you should. He has probably done this before & he will probably do it again. If you don't report it, there will be no record of it. How do you think your church will handle it? I think it requires more than a "talking to" & removal from his teaching position.
