For the past two years the cats have sat on the same ledge, watching the same lizard sunning himself! We call him "Mr. Lizard". When I yell "Mr. Lizard is here!" they all run!

The Lizard looks at them, they look at the Lizard, some fun at my house huh?:confused3

Well last night I went to hook up the hose, and I hear the normal rush of water, then splat! The water stops! OH NO! Mr. Lizard must have been in the hose before I attached the sprinkler! :scared1:

I look up in the window and sure enough, all three of them are looking at me!

I'm thinking, there are a million lizards in this yard, it cant possibly be THE Mr. Lizard.:charac2:

Well a full 24 hours have gone by, the cats are on the ledge, Mr. Lizard has been a no show, and they are NOT happy!

Daddy killed Mr. Lizard!

So sorry to hear about Mr Lizard. I hope you can find another one for your fur babies!!!

Um, isn't this the same man who started a thread, or commented on a thread, lately saying that his cats are going to de-tail a lizard from behind his entertainment center?! And yet they're still obsessed over a lizard that's outside?!
I find it mildly ammusing, if not very funny, it seems like that you're in Florida, a state known to have it's fair share of lizards, and worrying about "Mr. Lizard". I'm sure they'll have another friendly lizard come along and sun himself on your rock. Don't fret, in the meantime, keep them so hopped up on catnip they'll think they see "Mr. Lizard" out there. :) Simple solution really.

RIP Mr. Lizard

p.s. You are SO NOT the worst dad; Mr. Lizard's passing falls under the category of "stuff" happens.

Ginger enjoys torturing the lizards out on the lanai. However, she is an equal opportunity torturer. All lizards are fair game.

I do appreciate your dilemma. We had a lizard living in the bathroom window between the glass and screen. I closed the window too hard one day, and had to name the lizard Marie Antoinette, if you get my drift.

If you administer catnip, let me know. I'll come join the cats for an afternoon of light hallulcinations. I need a break from work.

We've got to get the body out of the sprinkler head first! :scared1:

Anyone got a tooth pick?

EWWW!!! and ROFLMAO!!! Mainly Eww though, no, maybe not, peeing my pants is considered an ROFLMAO moment I guess.

So sorry I'm late to the memorial...I was too busy checking my hoses for for critters I could splatter...see, in my house that would appease the Cat Gods and maybe (just maybe) they'd stop peeing on my pillows.

(ps..if you see "pillows..slightly used" for sale on Ebay...RUN!!!!):rolleyes1

awww you are not the worst dad! I have to admit I was LMBO at this though!
We have toad families in our yard every spring, well the dogs are amused by them, the kids are always catching them..........they look for them everyday...........they are like pets around here sort of...........well I smushed one in the driveway, oooppssss!
the kids were looking for " the big mama frog"..........." where is the big mama frog mommie, what happened?".......:confused3

:rotfl2: Thanks for the laugh - sorry it was at Mr. Lizzard's expense. :sad2: Hope Mr. Lizzard Jr. shows up soon for the kitties.
