Maybe cuties oranges to grapefruit. LolPlatinum cruise benefits vs Womens' Suffrage?
So, comparing apples to Mt. Everest. Got it.

lol - I know! I fail to see how the women's suffrage movement and right to vote (a citizen's right) is even remotely related to how DCL decides to distribute Castaway Club perks, which they choose to reward us with and is a "gift," not a "right."lol. what???
this thread is getting a little to political for me.![]()

I keyed in the word 'reward' hit the send button and this is the first thing that came up....Nothing can be both a reward and a gift. A gift is something given freely, without cost or obligation to the recipient.
A reward is earned. In the case of Castaway Club perks, the rewards are similar to other frequent customer reward programs - designed to provide a small incentive to come back.
With the addition of 2 new ships to the fleet, I would expect reward levels to increase in the next few years.
The whole point to my last post, was that there is no difference between a desired new reward and a desired reward which was once, but is no longer, offered.
This is an arbitrary distinction.

I think it can be both a reward and a gift. a reward is not always a prize, it can be a gift as well. you are often rewarded with a gift.
anyways, I would not hold my breath on reward levels increasing but only time will tell on that. I hope your right but nothing dcl has done gives any kind of indication this will happen. lets keep our fingers crossed.
Like my mother used to say...."People are starving in Africa, stop complaining it's spaghetti again and eat your dinner."I guess for some perspective it's thrilling to go on a cruise...and to be platinum means you've gone on many cruises...and I do understand it's hard when you feel you aren't getting something you should have but at the same time...maybe centering on gratitude for what you have and adjusting to the fact that what you want to happen isn't going to would make you happier both in life and on this vacation.
Immediate family should be included.
like both of those too.You make an excellent point.
However, there has been lots of whining on this board regarding alcohol and cheese.
So, I naturally inferred that this was a place to air petty grievances.
