Which of the Single Pass Attractions are most important/worth it to buy if you LOVE those rides?

Since Rise and FOP and 7 Dwarfs and Slinky and Guardians are no longer virtual queues (boo!), and are also not available with a LLMP (double boo!), it looks like the only options are rope drop or buying them outright with a single pass. Plus rope dropping if you hope to ride them twice in one day. Tiana's isn't a huge need, but the other five are. Are those other five ever easily available at some point during the day or evening during July do you think?? I was there in January and Rise was only 10 minutes one evening.

Another pricey option are after events for both Epcot and the Studios during my week, but I can't decide if paying $165 per person is better than paying the reduced overall ticket rate that a seven day hopper ends up being, and buying single passes, or if it's better to do the after events and try and go crazy for Rise and Slinky, and Guardians on those nights. I can't figure out if the meager savings going from a seven day hopper to a five or six day hopper, plus the, what, $25ish cost per person per ride, ends up being more of less than the value of the $165 day after hour events. Thoughts??

The very first time I heard about VQ was with Rise of the Resistance. I was never able to grab one. So glad we now have an option to buy a spot if needed.

I personally would never pay for 7d or Tron. While I like them both, they are too short for me to pay extra to ride. Not that the others are all that long (well rise is if you include preshow), but I feel like you get more bang for your buck per se.

Finally did Tron recently. Liked it quite a bit but wouldn't pay for it again. I've paid twice for RotR but at this point, I would wait till it has a short wait or single rider. 7D would be rope drop. Guardians would be the only one I would pay for at this point.

Rise obviously can be had at rope drop but I've hit it many times in the last year where I just kept checking the wait times, especially later in the evenings, and all of a sudden it'll just clear up and be like a 15 minute wait. But you gotta move fast when you see that because everyone else doing what you did just saw it too!

We’ve never purchase a Single Pass and save that money for Dole Whips.

We prefer to wait until later in the evening for those rides when the lines are the shortest of the day. If you understand the inflated wait times and line stacking processes that are put into place each evening it’s pretty easy to hit those headliners with short waits, sometimes multiple times.

For example, on our last visit we hit Rise an hour and twenty minutes before closing time and were able to ride three times and still made it to Fantasmic. The actual wait times were 20, 10 and 0 minutes while the posted times were 80, 80 and 70.

Last summer we went on Rise several times between noonish and park closing and the wait time was always significantly shorter than posted. We never waited longer than 25 minutes. Just before close seems to be the shortest but as long as the line isn’t out of the building it seems to be less than 30 minutes.

Guardians is so worth it to me, love that ride! I will often get a LLSP and then try to ride again late in the day.

This is how we feel as well. Guardians is the only one we LOVE. The others are. fine and we'd like to ride, but we'll no longer pay extra to ride it.

Our last visit (just over a week ago), we ropedropped 7 Dwarfs, and paid for Tron. Reasoning was that Tron isn't open for early entry and the mine train has a more interesting queue. Also, we were with family that has only been to MK twice, so wanted to experience Tron.

Last year, my husband and I did NOT pay for Rise, but got on with less than 15 minute wait at about 8:30 p.m.

We've been successful with VQ in the past for Guardians, but did also pay for it this past January, as we were with friends who hadn't ridden it and wanted a sure chance (standby was not yet offered).

So if I can hijack here a little with a request for opinions - I can’t do RNR or SM without feeling off for quite a while afterwards so I’m thinking Tron & GoG are not for me. I very much want to do ROTR. We rode it back in November of 2020 when it was still plagued with issues & we kept stopping during the experience. We will be hopping from AK one night to see Fantasmic & I was hoping to get an LLSP for that night but from the sound of things, might we manage a stand by with 30-40 minute wait on a Sunday evening?
