I'm the coordinator- it's my job to plan early! July 2017 PTR!

OOOOOOOOOO I love the castle magic band! Great choices! DH would totally to the grey vintage Mickey.... I might have to show him that one.

I finally found time to come back and get caught up! I've always dreamed of doing a trip on deluxe dining! I'm totally pricing it out for this trip! There's just so many experiences I would take advantage of on the DXDP that I don't want to waste credits on with just the regular dining plan... Although I don't know if it would be the best option this go round because I think we're going to be making things official very last minute on this one and some of the ADR's I want the DXDP for might not be available at that point. Oh the decisions! I'm also trying to figure out the magic band situation. Well, really just thinking about it in the back of my mind. I really love the castle one and the princess ones and most of the design ones but I also want just the plain pink one and I know my parents would probably enjoy the plain ones more than the design ones... Then I'm also going during Flower and Garden so there will probably be the limited edition magic band...

Welcome back!! :cutie: The limited edition bands would be nice, especially because it's exclusive to that trip! I vote for those! We did DXDP on our honeymoon and we thought we would never do it again, because it was so much food- but it's nice to know that you don't really have to worry about paying OOP for extra meals and, like you said, there's so many more options with it. We want to try as many places as possible, including signatures, so it's hard to say no. Hoping you opt for it and add some more experiences to your list as well! Which places were you wanting to get to that you aren't sure would be available at the time you book?

That's exactly why I like having a dining plan in general not having to worry about keeping money around to pay for food and knowing it's pretty much always taken care of! And I really like the extra flexibility of being able to use the DXDP credits as either TS or QS meals. As far as the dining that I'm looking at that I'm waiting on a DXDP trip for they are Cinderella's Royal Table, Hoop De Doo Revue, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ. I have a feeling they've probably added more that when I start looking at Dinning stuff will get added to my 'someday' list.

Hoop De Doo and Mickey's Backyard BBQ are on my 'someday' list, it's always so hard choosing, especially when you want to get back to some of your favorites! Keep me updated on what you decide to do with dining! I'd love to hear :)

I know! And I'm horrible at making decisions! I for sure will keep you updated!

Made our trip a little longer than the rest of our group and I'm super excited about it! DH and I don't go away too often and when we do, it's always Disney and we need time to save up for it, so it's usually every 2 years. So, I've convinced him that we should have two days to ourselves. We are planning to start a family soon, so this will (hopefully) be our last big trip before that time comes and I want it to be big one! Already got the DXDP down, so now we have a couple extra days too!! :thumbsup2

This is the plan, we are driving down to WDW from NJ, leaving July 30 for a July 31st check in. The rest of the gang will be arriving Aug. 1. That's 1 dinner on our own that night and we chose JIKO! :cheer2: My mouth waters thinking about being there! We spent our first dinner of our honeymoon there and we were blown away, so back again we go!

The next day, we will hang around the pool and most likely hit World of Disney and splurge! Saving Disney gift cards as we speak to do just that! That night, with everyone, we will eat at Raglan Road.

I only did 6 park hopper days with 8 days of vacation time, because we really don't have time to hit the parks on arrival or departure days, so it didn't make sense to shell out the extra cash. We might have more time if we flew, but we want to leave early and drive home. I hate flying, like HATE! So that wasn't an option. Plus I get motion sick on just about everything (including planes), and the only way I don't is if I drive! Fun fact, the only thing I get motion sick on in Disney is Star Tours, luckily it doesn't hold me back from enjoying my beloved Rock'n Roller Coaster and Everest! :)

The rest of the plan pretty much stays until the end of our trip- the rest of the group will be leaving Aug. 5 and we will be departing Aug. 7 with an extra park day on the 6 for just the two of us. We didn't really want to go to the signatures, unless we were on our own days, since the others got the regular dining plan and we didn't want to exclude anyone. So this final day, we will go to a signature. Breakfast will be at the Wave at the Contemporary and dinner will be at Narcoossee's. I had a bit of trouble choosing the dinner, because I loved California Grill so much and we haven't tried Citricos yet either, but I have settled (I think) on Narcoossee's. :goodvibes Our last day will be in MK, so I tried to keep it in the area.

That's a big job!! :rotfl: You'll definitely be a pro after planning that trip! Good luck!!

I know. It's crazy how many people are going. And I'm super excited that someone contacted me today about booking their trip for February. I am sooo excited!

I'm doing the same thing for our trip! I plan to arrive on wednesday and everyone else will be there on saturday!

Smart thinking on the tickets.

That's great about you booking a job- congrats!! Great minds think alike :) That's sounds like a nice stretch of time to relax and get in your own family time before the rest arrives!
