I'm thankful for...MICKEY!!! My Thanksgiving '08 TR!: TR Update, Last Day!

About the cleaning...darn! I guess you'll have to skip it this week. I would!

Oh, I looked on Scott's PTR, but there was too much to read! I'll have to go back and read...I'm sure your complaints are the same as mine!
too much to read. :confused3

Oh I need to DVR next week's show.
And I did miss the one last night ;)
look over on my site. :rolleyes1

Disney on a Dime should be interesting. I'm curious what suggestions they have for saving money at WDW.

Yes, bring on the money saving suggestions!

In order to change DH's opinion of Disney World, I need to make this as money-saving as possible!

Because heaven knows, there must be a secret to saving money that I, for one, have yet to discover!!!

I have yet to discover that secret as well!

I know the ways to not save money:

1. Go in every shop you pass along your merry way
2. Drink lots of yummy beverages of the adult variety
3. Buy tons of clothes for the Disney trip, even though you already have a closet full of Disney-appropriate clothes
4. Spend mucho bucks on a trip planning binder
5. Buy every Disney guide book ever published

Just to name a few.

:lmao:

I have those down pat as well!!! I manage to do every single one on there -- including an addition to number 1: Go in every shop you pass along on your merry way AND go out of your way to stop at others that have become favorites.

You are absolutely correct...there are some shops that just need to be looked at, whether they are out of the way or not!

You never know what you may need!

Definitely you need to be commended for your 13 miles.

A friend of ours ran the Music City Half Marathon a few years ago, and we went and watched. I know the training he put into it, and I know I could never do it in a million years. My leg wouldn't take running one mile - it would be swollen up like a balloon and start floating me away probably!

On the Disney budget topic, a Disney dime is unlike a real world dime. I rarely spend any money for anything other than necessities in the real world. My kids will tell you how hard it is for me to give up 99 pennies for a fast food item, and how very rarely that happens, but I have no hesitation at a three dollar ice cream bar or a four dollar hot dog in Disney World.

Not only do I not hesitate to buy things, I encourage buying things. I can just see Jill eyeing something, and the next thing I know I'm standing at the register ordering two of everything!

I think Disney sprays some unseen mist on me as I go under the arches that makes me lose my sense of worries about any type of currency.

Wants seem to become needs when I'm there.
"We're going to need this for our next Disney party."
"I think I need this in my classroom."
"I might need another Mickey Mouse spatula."

So far, it hasn't gotten too bad, though, so I guess I'm okay. I've paid off the trips right after I've gotten back. I don't carry balances all year on a long ago trip.

And I still have plenty of room in the house for more!

I saw your comment about Forgetting Sarah Marshall, let me know how it is! Judd Apatow just can't make a wrong movie! He's like the Pixar of live action! LOL

I agree with you on how not to save money :lmao:

Thanks! :goodvibes

I absolutely know what you mean about dropping so much money at WDW for things you would NEVER pay that much for at home!

It's a good feeling to not worry about it. So if it is a magical mist they spray on us, I hope they keep it up!

I have so many things in my house that I "needed" at Disney world. And I love them all!

I saw your comment about Forgetting Sarah Marshall, let me know how it is! Judd Apatow just can't make a wrong movie! He's like the Pixar of live action! LOL

The movie was hilarious! I loved it!

You are so right...Judd Apatow has not disappointed yet.

I agree with you on how not to save money :lmao:

Now if only we could figure out how TO save money!

Especially at Disney -- things you never thought of suddenly become necessary items! ;)

Yep, like the adorable Mickey pizza plates which I bought. And have never used. But will use SOME day. Cuz they're so cute.

The best way to save money at Disney is to just not go. But that's completely unacceptable.

I have a Pop Century question...

Do they have toasters in the food court?

I seem to remember them being there, but I can't tell if I'm imagining that.

I'm thinking that we're going to have bagels for breakfast when we're at WDW. And bagels are so much better when they're toasted!

They did in October. I remember this because I spent the entire time then trying to remember if I had also seen them at POFQ.

So, yes, you will be able to toast your bagels! :thumbsup2

Thank you! That is good news! We're just going to get bagels, peanut butter, and fruit from Garden Grocer and eat that every morning.

I am 98% positive that they also have them at POFQ. Unless I'm crazy, I remember using one last time I was there.

Hey Justine

Congrats on running the 13 miles........:thumbsup2

I'm glad I didn't watch the Splurge.....I guess I didn't miss anything.
