Next Disney cruise, I'm taking my own photographer. We just got back and I have redeye from looking through the viewfinder. And of course the wife had to have every picture the professional photographers on the ship took. I did the math---I could have hired a photographer and paid his way and it would have been cheaper!

I'm your man! I joked with my wife that maybe when I retire from being a photojournalist, I could go to WDW with people as their personal professional photographer...Photobob

ME ME ME! I'll go with you!!!

I love doing those things. The families that were vacationing at the dude ranch we visited in July absolutely loved all the images I gave them on CD the Sunday morning we all checked out to head to our homes. I've received many emails from them joking that I need to do all their vacations with them!

When you are the one behind the camera (like you were) and trying to document your trip, you do miss out on alot of the fun.

I found $10 a pic very reasonable for a pro pic.
I bought a 128 meg memory at Sams club for $45 for my camera which gave me 712 pics.
I have better pics and less expensive pics than at a studio.
I could not have been happier!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

When we cruised in 2001, I found the quality of the prints not very good at all. Most 8x10's were grainy. Perhaps they have come along and gone to high megapixel digitals. I'll know soon enough.

I'm taking my main camera with me on the cruise along with my selection of lens. I know I'll have good vacation pics but I won't be in any of them, as usual.

I can change my name to photoCRB#33 and you can take me!

In March 2003, I noticed the photographers were using Nikon N90s. I couldn't tell if they had a digital back on them or not.

Thanks Sam. I'll be curious to check out the photo quality now! I still don't plan on purchasing a ton of images from the ship but one or two will probably be keepers (boarding the ship is one of our usual purchases).

Thanks for the input!
