I'm Sure This Will Get Me Lynched!

Someone said something about posting pictures?

This picture really sums up for me, why we decided to take our (then) 3 year old and 2 year old to Disney. They believe in Tigger and were soooo unbelievably excited about him. I think there's something to be said about Disney for each age your child is at and we plan to enjoy each stage to the fullest with our children.

You are right to feel like you are going to get lynched , you clearly asked for it by offending all of us who love to do things with our young children.

I HARDLY think I offended everyone. It was a simple question. My children were young once too. So............Why you were so busy paying such close attention to another struggling couple when you had 2 kids to pay attention to?


My children are 9 and 11. Quite capable of standing up and walking off of a boat. This couple was right in front of us. Hard to ignore when she's yelling.


If you weren't talking to your own family about the impending lightening storm, the rain, your plans for later...then did you offer to assist the young couple with getting their double stroller off the ferry???

They were getting off the boat just fine. Oh but I did mention to the mother that there was a ramp that might be easier than the stairs and she just gave me a dirty look.

I have 4 kids and I carry the baby in a sling, the 3 & 4 year olds go in the double stroller and our oldest walks everyday, everywhere. This is normal everyday life for alot of us. So the Mom was inconvenienced and was upset - you have never been inconvenieced and upset?

Sure I've been inconvenienced and upset, but I sure didn't take it out on my husband. Or in a public place. ESPECIALLY in front of my children.You learn to deal with that stuff without taking it out on others. At least you SHOULD.


I won't even attempt to explain why we LOVE to vacation with them when they are so little and will once a year, every year, forever (every 2nd year is WDW).

Don't be sorry. We had a wonderful vacation. Not quite sure why you felt you had to be so snide. It was merely a question. If this is how you express the magic and goodwill of Disney, well, wow, that's kind of scary. However, if I hadn't posted "This will surely get me lynched" I'm willing to bet you never would have clicked on my post...pot stirrers tend to look for others with their spoons.

You knew people whould get upset when you posted your opinion. So I'm not sure why you're uspet that people with young children are defending themselves, and presenting their opinion. But I don't think personal attacks have anything to do with the subject at hand. Can't we just agree to disagree before this gets really ugly
