I know you can take your water bottle and have them fill it up (right?) But can you get just a cup of ice water at counter service places? Do they charge for this and if so how much?

They can't actually take your cup over the counter (sanitary stuff), but they can give you a free cup of water/ice and you can transfer it yourself. There are also lots of water fountains where you can fill up your own bottles.

Yeah I wondered about the sanitary deal. Awesome. Thanks :) I loves me my diet coke but I'm thinking I'm gonna want some water most of the time LOL

At the stand near Princess Fantasy Faire they gave us a tiny cup, no ice, and pointed us to a water spigot. They wouldn't give us ice or a larger cup.

I usually refill my cups with ice and water at the Plaza Inn.

if you go to the first aid station on main st. they have filtered ice cold water that you can fill up as often as you would like :goodvibes

Wow, even after being here for soooooo long....I still learn new stuff all the time!! This is awesome, I had no idea you could ask for a cup of ice water, I have been paying for bottled water all this time! And to refill your water bottle with it before you leave so you don't have to fill it with the fountain water :crazy2: and that you can get good water at the first aid station!! wow, I have a medical condition that requires me to drink a lot of water and the amount of money I have spent on bottles of water in the park.....

That is actually only the Princess Fantasy Faire that does that. Most any other walk up food counter at DL will give you a big cup of ice and water for free. We do it all the time! Coke Corner and Bengal BBQ give a large cup (same size as soda cup) with plenty of ice and water and top and straw. I never buy water in the parks or bring it in myself since figuring this out!

Free water cups were available at all the quick service dining places we encountered. The cups were small, but it was always ice cold and very refreshing. We had no problem getting the cups, even getting them when we did not purchase any food.
