I leave in 3 days and am a bit confused. Every time I've been to DL, I have been under the impression that I could only have one FP at a time. However, doing my research, I get the idea that some attractions are 'offline' and allow you to hold more than one at a time. Is this correct? Could someone please shed some light on how this is done?
TIA :thanks:

You can only have one FP every hour. It has something to do with the encoding on the ticket or room key.

Don't worry about the intricacies of the system. Stick your ticket in the machine, grab your FastPass, and it'll tell you when you can pick up our next one. That's all that matters.

The only "offline" attraction that I know about is Lights, Motors, Action.

The fastpass will tell you when you can get your next fastpass. Make sure you notice that time, not just your return window time. Sometimes the time for your next fastpass will be sooner then your return window. I always try to get my next FP before I go on the ride for my original FP, this way I am eating up time till my next return window.

Thank you everyone for responding so quickly!! I was unaware that there was a time printed on the FP that (duh) tells you when to get another. I assumed that it was always after you used the one you already had.

Thanks again!

What you are probably thinking about is the system at DL in California. When we visited DL in 2004 some of the FP rides (POTC and HM , for example) were "off the system" and you could get FPs for those rides even if you could not get FPs for rides on the system like SM. Not sure if this is still the case at DL.

What I meant to say is that the DL system was never the system at WDW and the info described by the other posters is correct for WDW.
