I'm having an anxiety attack over the littlest things, and I can't stand it. My friend is upset because she thinks I ignore her IM's (which I don't, but I can see how she thinks I do) and my husband is trying to get my first prenatal appt moved up and I can't stand not knowing what's going on (my phone is in his car). I'm sure that by the time my friend gets home from work (probably late tonight) and reads my emails things will be fine, and that I will know about my Dr. appt by 6:00 but I am still all worked up over it. I can't relax, I can't think about getting my son lunch, I can't do anything productive. I hate anxiety attacks! I am upset that I am 12 weeks pregnant, have been continually losing weight and practically bed-ridden from headaches and morning sickness for at least two months, and I still can't be seen for another two weeks I called for an appt in the middle of July)! I'll be out of my first trimester then, what sense does that make??? I know you're all probably thinking "why don't I just go to a different doctor" but once I'm in, the care is great and I don't want to go anywhere else. The lady my husband spoke to today was surprised that I haven't been seen yet, so I should hopefully be seen soon. We'll see... thanks for letting me vent, I can't sit still so the typing keeps me occupied. I am going to get my son his lunch for now.

Take a few deep breaths. :goodvibes So, what did you make your son for lunch? :goodvibes

OK, I'm a bit calmer now. I had the rest of a can of chocolate frosting (great baby food, I know) and if you as my son what he had for lunch, it was "muk, abblause, and an awful semmie". Translation- milk, applesauce and a waffle sandwich (basically a grilled cheese on a waffle). I just needed something to distract me until my husband gets home.

Grilled cheese on a waffle, now that is one I've never heard of. I'll bet the cheese melts into all the holes. Now I'm hungry. :teeth:

It's meant to be on a blueberry waffle- you really don't experience the true yumminess unless it you taste the blueberries with the cheese. My husband did the shopping though, so they are plain...

Ok, now I'm gonna puke. :crazy2: :rotfl:

LOL, that's what everyone says. Trust me, it's delish! It has to be american (processed) cheese though.

Glad you feel better and have calmed down :goodvibes. Does you dr know you suffer fr anxiety attacks, headaches and have lost so much weight? I would think he would want to talk to about these issues and try to help. I would try rehydrating myself w/water and that may help the headaches. I can't imagine all the anxiety being good while you are pg. BTW, I lost 25 lbs with I was pg with my first, sick the first 6 mos, and went on to have 3 more children...LOL :rotfl: !?!?!? Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon :) .

PS...
You son's cheese waffle sounds interesting ;) !! My west coast 4yo DGS loves his waffles with peanut butter and applesauce. My east coast grands think anything other than syrup is too weird...they have no imagination with waffles :teeth: !!!!!

OT here, but I like the Wispride orange cheese spread on waffles - with syrup.

YUMMY - yes, i'm pregnant, so i'm allowed to eat things like this!
(and i'd probably still eat it afterwards too).

Hope you're having a better day, and yell at your Doctor for stressing out a pregnant (and sick) woman!!!!! Tisk Tisk!

I don't even have a doctor yet... That's the thing! I had my son at the hospital clinic and I loved the care I got while there, but they were all residents so they are gone now. I actually never saw the same person more than twice! Now I'm just waiting for my first appointment, which has me upset because I told them about the headaches and weight loss when I called and it still took six weeks to get me in. That is just wrong! I'm pretty sure that I just spoke to an unwilling person, who was very nice but wouldn't do anything but tell me to go to the ER if it keeps up... The person my husband spoke to today wants to talk to me if he gets home with my phone on time, so I think she may get me in sooner. I drink tons of water, I drink it all day long so I don't think that's the issue. I am prone to these headaches, although they are usually infrequent. I guess it's just the hormones. Glad to hear your pregnancy went ok with your weight loss, I've lost two babies already and do not want to do it again!

Peanut butter on a waffle I can see, but mixed with applesauce? ICK!

I've never heard of that cheese, what is it? Can't imagine it with syrup though. LOL, I'm so weird when it comes to trying new foods, but I eat the weirdest stuff!

I feel for you I really do. Call adn talk to the nurse at your OBs. They really helped me. I'm 9 weeks and miserable. I don't remember being this sick with #1 but DH assures me I was.

I feel bad bacause there is no reason to suffer so much. I got a new anti nausea medicine that is a category B. I don't take it daily but it really helps get through those days where you have to do something besides lay in bed.

I took some today since I couldn't keep anything down yesterday I figured I should eat something.

I'm lol about the frosting. Hey the way I see it is that you got something in you! I've lost a few lbs too, I think that is pretty common.

Try not to stress too much. Hopefully the sickies will pass soon.

Wispride is in the cold section of the supermarket, near the cream cheeses. It's a processed sharp cheddar cheese spread - yum.

And please speak w/someone who can help you at your Drs office....no one should be in agony when there is no need to be. You should be seen around week 8 of pregnancy, IMO - and if you're sick, you should be seen sooner.

Please take care of yourself.

{{HUGS}} to you.
I think pregnacny plays havor with our hormones and we have some really bad days.
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Hillbeans. I will talk to them today, or tomorrow if my husband doesn't make it home before they leave. They won't see you before 10 weeks there, but for whatever reason they made my appt for 14 weeks! I said something about that right away, with no real response... I will be persistant though especially since the weight loss has not stopped like I thought it had. I have been taking OTC prenatal vitamins all along (actually, I took them for my whole pregnancy with my son) so at least there is that nutrition going to the baby. Then thing is I eat pretty normal now, and get sick maybe once a day in the morning so I haven't eaten yet anyway. That's why I'm so worried about the weight loss (which at any other time I would welcome with open arms!) I keep thinking it's getting better, then I'm back in bed again... I was never sick with my second son, and I was foolishly thinking I'd have another great pregnancy. LOL, I am rethinking my dreams of a large family now! Even with my first son, I was sick the entire pregnancy but only got sick once a day, and in the car and I never got the headaches/exhaustion that I do now. I am also having lots of trouble breathing and hate not having a doctor to ask if I can take my Albuteral during the first trimester (it was given to me in my second trimester with my son, so I have no idea if it's safe or not right now). Oops, I'm rambling... Thanks for reading everyone!

So very sorry for your losses, I didn't realize .

Taking everything into consideration, I do hope they work you in asap.

Isn't there a nurse you could call. Our insurance has a 'phone a nurse' type thing and so does a local hospital. Is there anything like that in your area.

I feel so bad for you. Remember being sick is a good sign, at least that's what I keep telling myself!

Thanks RadioNate. I actually just spoke to the nurse who told me the same thing, and yelled (well, not really- she was very nice to me) at me for not taking it. I also wasn't taking any Tylenol or anything for my headaches because I thought they were only safe after the first trimester. (Dang magazines and their lawsuit precautions!) We talked for a while and came up with a plan, so as of now my appt still stands for two weeks from tomorrow, but if I stay sick they will get me in sooner. They are just really booked right now. I feel much better being able to take some meds, and I'm so angry for not asking about it sooner! Oh well, I can look forward to breathing again at least, and hopefully get some relief from the headaches. Thanks everyone for talking to me today, I really needed it!

Thanks Dan! I'm much better now, I think I have multiple personalities...
