I'm staying at the Plaza

DH and I have tickets to a Broadway play in July. We also had some VWL points that needed to be used this year.

So.......we're going to spend the night at the Plaza!

I don't care if the room is the size of a broom closet. It's the PLAZA!!!!!!!!

We're going to see "Hairspray." It's a play based on that nutty movie that Ricki Lake and Devine made. It's starring Harvey Fierstein. I can't wait.

Pam, I made the ressie on Thursday. I was told that they have to submit the request to the Plaza and that they would get back to me in a few days. Instead, we got the confirmation call in a few hours.

Thanks for the welcome to the city Adam. I'm only an hour and half north of you. Us "country" NYer's mosey on down to the big city every so often.

how many points are you using....we have 53 we need to use, would we have enough?

July 1-Sep 2, one night in a Classic room is 44 points (56 for Deluxe). Sep 3-Nov 28 and Dec.15-31 are 58/67 and Nov. 29-Dec. 14 are 78/84

The Shelburne Murray Hill or Eastgate Tower are suite hotel options we have in Manhattan as well. Not as deluxe, but cheaper pointwise. Apr. 1-Sept. 10 studio 38 and 1 bedroom 42. Sep. 11-Dec. 31 39/45 (How did they pick that cut-off date? Gives me the chills.)

Sanmc, there's also a $75.00 charge for the transaction.

It may not be the most practical use of points, but, due to a family health situation, we were unable to go to WDW this past Memorial weekend.

I think that a night in the Plaza will make up for that.

Be sure to take good notes for me. Mike want to do NY very badly. I would like to surprise him next year on his B-day with a trip and Yankee tickets. I was considering the Plaza on points
