I'm starting to regret this...

Hiya,

Our last three trips have been the last two weeks of Jan in 2008, first two weeks of Feb in 2009 and then the last two weeks of Feb and the first week of March this year.

This year was by far the coldest trip and by all accounts the weather was well below average. DH is a much warmer person than me and so on this trip some days he wore 3/4 trousers and t-shirts but I think I only wore mine once and the rest of the time I was in Jeans, pumps and t-shirts and at times a hoody. Some days we really could have done with coats but we just layered our tops instead.

The reason we will probably not go back next feb is partly that yes the weather was disappointing but going on averages and also past experience it may well have been a one off but we now want to go for three weeks again and although I took our DD's out of school for a full fortnight this time and their school and teachers were fine about it, I still struggled with my decision if I am honest. If the girls were off for a fortnight in Feb I would probably go back again at that time.......

On our previous two trips we had one or two chilly days on both trips and the remainder of the holidays were lovely warm days with plenty of sunshine and no rain, just a bit chilly first thing and in the evenings. On our 2009 trip the weather was FAB, temperatures of between 26 and 29 degrees most days :thumbsup2

Hope you have a lovely trip and just pack for all weathers, shorts through to fleeces etc.......

Ali :goodvibes
