I'm Starting to Get REALLY Frustrated

I posted this the other day and I am STILL having problems. I have been calling since Monday to try to modify an existing reservation. I have called three different numbers (407-WDISNEY, the 407 number listed on my confirm and a 407 number supplied to me in an email from Guest Services.)

I go through all of the prompts, am told to hold for the next available agent and am then disconnected.:mad: :confused3

I emailed them about it after trying for four days to get through and received a response telling me that they can't make changes via email. Yeah. Thanks for that. :rolleyes: I am not ASKING you to make any change. I am TELLING you there is a problem with your phone lines. :rolleyes1

I have tried calling FROM three separate numbers and I have the same problem on all of them. Obviously someone is getting through because I am assuming that if everyone in CRO was just sitting around twiddling their thumbs for a week while the phones never rang they would think something was up.:rotfl2:

The kicker is it's a package I need to change and I am about to run into the window where if I cancel it or make changes I will be charged. Not to mention the fact that I am currently paying for the dining plan and can't get through to make dining ressies either.

Am I the only one who is having problems with their phone lines? I'm beginning to think I must be on the naughty list but I need to get this resolved sooner rather than later.:scared:
 
I'm not certain, but sometimes there is a break in the music. You are still on hold, but not disconnected. Is that what you are speaking of?
 
I've been calling this weekend also and haven't had any problems. I always use 407-WDISNEY. Like the previous poster stated, maybe you are hearing a break in the music and you really aren't disconnected? Or maybe if you are on a cell phone you are losing your signal? Keep calling! :)
 

Sometimes it sounds like you are disconnected, but you aren't. Have you tried just staying on the line?
 
I often thought that I had been disconnected because it sounds like it but
I just stayed on the line for a while longer and I wasn't disconnected.
The Music will cut in and out.
 
No no no.... I am DEFINITELY disconnected. I never even get to music. The phone goes silent and then about 15 seconds later you hear the beep beep beep off the hook tone and then the "if you'd like to make a call..." recorded operator message. I am 110% certain I am disconnected. I don't think by a person. I think they are having trouble on the lines.

My father had been calling for a few days also regarding something for his upcoming trip (he leaves on the 14th) and ended up having to call the hotel front desk because the same thing was happening to him.

Maybe it is a NJ thing. :rotfl:

I know this sounds crazy,,,but be careful about what buttons you press
for the prompts,,,the automated circuit may actually think that YOU are
ending the call....:confused:

Remember back then,,,,,You dial.........the phone rings.......
someone on the other end SAYS HELLO!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!
That was a trip back to the old days..
If you still can't get through ,,,call your Resort,,they can probably
connect you without all the prompts.

That's really odd. Maybe try skipping your info like you're making a new ressie. I'm pretty sure you can give them your number once you're through. I agree with the OP, if that doesn't work try one of the other numbers or 407-wdw-dine. Let us know what happens.

What happens if you don't press ANY buttons? Sometimes, yes, the system is so automated it will refuse to help you and you'll get cut off; but sometimes the system assumes you're the last person in the country without a touch-tone phone, and you can hold for assistance.

Called member services on 5th in am and had no problem. Had to add a day because of flight issues. Did have to wait a little to get through. Had a direct flight that changed to a stop but only 54 minutes to change plane. One of our party is in wheel chair and that would not work. All worked out fine. Now have 10 full days in WDW. See you all at Food and Wine.
 
I know what the op is talking about. Same thing has been happening to me. But only on my house phone, I can get through on my cell phone without a problem.

That's funny... Just the opposite for me!!
 
No problem for me. I called today from my cell phone. They did go to a new phone system. No more pushing buttons.
 
Hmmmm... just got through on my cell.... I guess it is just a land line problem? Weird that it happens at both my house and my parent's house. I tried my landline and both landline numbers at my parents... :confused3

Whew- I was holding my breath to find out if the OP ever got through. Thank goodness! Have a wonderful vacation and I hope you got everything straightened out with your ressie AND ADR's made. Strange things a'happenin' indeed. ---Kathy
 
I was disconnected yesterday after being on hold for quite some time but I was on the tour reservation phone number. It definately disconnected because it went to the survey.
