We only paid $124 for a week in June including taxes. I'm sure not seeing this for the begining of September. Any hints?

I am bummed, I cannot use National in August. Minivan rates have stayed over $550 for a week, even with every code imaginable. I will miss National!

I'm spoiled too! This is the first time I've ever rented from National and the rate DID NOT drop as my trip got closer. I'm paying $274 (total) with carlson rate and enter. coupon for a 10 day rental, EA. Just in May I had a 11 day rental and paid $214 total. I'm the one that use to tell folks, not to worry because the rate often falls before you leave....well folks, not this time. I have a 12 day rental for October and my rate is $313, so time will tell where that one stands.

I am just glad I reserved my intermediate with National when I did,...I had a rate of $195.72 for 8 days early Sept with entertaiment coupon and Priceless code.

Sure hope it goes down even more..not holding my breathe on it though......:(

i had been told by sw (and reported here) a number of times that because i was not changing date or flight that i had to be stuck w/the higher price...

But that still isn't making me happy LOL..I want it lower!!

Have an Intermediate National @ Dolphin 8 days Oct
$183 Total using 6600330 and Entertainment coupon.

Also have convertible using Aeroplan contract ID and entertainment coupon for $320 total

Keep checking. My May reservation started out as $198 in February and dropped down to $119 in the last month before the trip.

Labor Day weekend may be hurting you.

I caved..went with Alamo. I couldn't find anyway to avoid the desk, or to fill out anything in advance..so I hope the line isn't bad on Friday of labor day, at 10:30 am.
The price for one week (sept 3 - 9th, but a morning pick up and an night drop off), is $152.75 including all taxes. I used the BJ's code, coupon and rate.
Here's hoping National comes down in price!

I am back to National, I booked Emerald Aisle for $184 (total including all fees) today, for Aug 13-20th. I got this rate with either Carlson, or AMEX codes, along with the $20 off coupon (Entertainment book or BJs)

However, we booked 2 cars, we gave up on getting a minivan. 2 cars is even better (we have 7, no small kids)

You might look at the Priceless vacation code: 6600330, just saved me a ton.

I too, am back to National..thanks to a posting about lower rates. $150 for a week (ok, not the low rates I've been having, but decent), using priceless and entertainment. Whew..that was close!

Hmmm..Gail, I see we are there the same time. Since this is just a trip to get a free SW ticket to anywhere..we are at POP. How's the pool at your hotel..should we meet so I can try it out as your guest? (I'm just kidding....in case any pool people are reading)
Seriously, are there any plans for a get together? I assume POP people can join the rest of you, if we promise to leave our backbacks and used mugs at the hotel (kidding folks..just kidding)

Absolutely doable!!!! Pool at OKW is very nice, sure you can be my guest!!!! No plans yet, but, we sure can make some. PM me with ideas. :)

Wow. I've been trying 6600330 with EG coupon as well for 5 days Aug 25 - 30 and the cheapest I've gotten is 181.42  I was initially getting in the 200+ range. Any suggestions??

For my dates, Aug 13-20, Priceless was higher, $237, than Carlson (5760339) or AMEX (5125601), $184. I also used the Ent book $20 off coupon. (prices listed are totals with all fees)

The rate dropped to $124.82! Do you know what the criteria is for the Amex rate it's showing that "variable" detail beside time and distance. I happen to use my Amex to book and I only see in Rules Sat stay required which I also meet. Is there a gotcha somewhere - I just can't get over the difference. Thanks again.

My rates for August 21 - 27 and Oct 30 - Nov 7 have not budged one bit since I booked them a few months ago. NOTHING nadda. No change whatsoever.

I'm paying $184.10 total for August (7 days) and $214.14 total for Oct/Nov (8 days).

I'm using Carlson Code and Entertainment coupon. the Priceless makes them both at least $50 more!

This is way more than I'm used to paying. Last year I paid $110. for a Full size TOTAL for a week in December.

A couple years ago I paid $172 for 10 days!

Where are those great rates?

What is a pricless code? I am looking to rent a car and looking for any possible codes or discounts but I don't know how to go about finding them? Any help

I think...

I have never rented a car for my WDW trips, but I thought I would try this time if I could find a good rate. I need to do some resort hopping, and it will be easier/faster with a car... I hope! :)

Anyway, I used the AMEX code from mousesavers.com and got a rate of $148.21 for 5 days with National (includes fees, taxes etc). I am an Emerald Club member, so it is for an intermediate sized car.

Using other codes, the best I could find was over $200 for 5 days. My dates of travel are August 4-8, 2004.
