Sorry, can't help with iPhone.

I know to post a picture on my computer I can either drag and drop, copy and paste, or use a photo hosting site to get an IMG code.

Also, photos must be smaller than 1MB to post.

You could try starting something like a Flickr account so you'd have a place to import appropriately sized photos from?

I played around with my iPhone to see if I could figure it out- it gives me the option to access my photo album but then weirdly says that any photo I select is too large. So I can see where your frustration is coming from.
