I'm stressed because I have to plan our ADR's for our next trip. I need to get it done before my 180 day mark...and I haven't done it yet. I'm spending hours on the boards reading other people's reports, trying to determine exactly what we want and when...and I don't have a thing planned yet!! UGH!

Oh, when is my 180 day mark that I'm so stressed about, you ask....um, well..its actually ...not until May 27th :teeth:

I am actually stressing over this date and it is 4 months away from today!! :lmao: I am such a moron!! Not to mention the trip is still 10 months away!!

*sigh* I guess I will go back to reading reviews and trying to make my decsions!

OK you need to CALM DOWN lol!

I know!! My family is ready for me to leave home!! I've read my passporter 3 times in the last month!! hehehe

Thats 1 day before our 180 day mark! Where are you staying? I actually have some restaurants picked, because we discussed it last Nov on our trip. However, others that I temporarily have filled in, still need to be discussed with DH. Anyway, I suggest you buy the Birnbaum Dining Guide. It was really helpful to us last year in planning. DH & I both went thru it, highlighted things we were interest in, then came up with our list of where we wanted to go. Some things we didn't choose that I'd recommend after our last trip: Kona Cafe...we LOVED it (on our list this year) and Plaza Restaurant (same thing). Some things we didn't like...Restaurant Marrakesh, Spoodles take out.

See here I am still on the restaurant board!! hehee

I'll have to check out the Birnbaums guide. The problem we have is that we have so many favs (we try to go each Nov.) and with the dinning plan we get to enjoy all of our favs without feeling guilty.

We are arriving on Thanksgiving morning and staying at CBR.

We like Kona and Plaza. I ate once at Marrakesh and that was enough. I've never tried Spoodles. On the trip it will be myself, my two sons (6 and 2.5 on the trip) and my mom, mom and I want to do a nice dinner one night without the kids...but I don't have any place to leave my little son. I can leave my oldest at the kids club at GF if we eat at Narcoosees but I don't have any place to leave the baby. :( I've thought about the onsite sitters but I would feel strange leaving my kids in the room with one person and no one else watching them. Oh well, might just have to wait until the baby is a bit older!!

There isn't any reason to be stressed - most guests are not booking at 180 days out (most don't even book rooms that far in advance). Really, 3 or 4 months out is usually easy to get, even less.

Anyway, if you book 5 or 6 months out, you are in front of nearly everyone!

I'm right there with you! My 180 day mark is end of May as well and I started feeling behind yesterday and have been surfing the board trying to find information on any of the potential new character meals. I think those will be booked up quick and I don't want to miss my day and have to reschedule my park days to eat there.

DH thinks I'm crazy to be planning already but I'm hoping this weekend he will sit down with me and go over the list I've created.

Hey! We will be arriving the same day as you! We are staying at All Star Movies. We stayed at CBR last time (Oct.05) Loved It! Chose a Value Resort so we could stay and extra 3 days for about the same price. \

Anyway, we are on dining plan as well and I am counting down to 180 days.
If it makes you feel better, I have not done any hard core planning yet either. We have a couple of places in mind but not sure yet where and when exactly.

I feel pretty confident that we won't be disappointed. Just have a back up plan if something doesn't work out and don't stress. After all, It's VACATION! Atleast you Know you won't be doing the cooking (LOL) That always makes me smile :teeth: !

Don't worry about it. Most people aren't booking 180 days out.
I just made my ADRs two days ago and I'm leaving in 12 days. Now I'm the one who's way behind. :teeth: Oh and I got all the restaurants and exact times that I wanted.

Have fun - check our menus on http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm

We love Chef Mickeys for dinner - with your little one, I would suggest and early dinner, 4:30 or 5 pm, after some rides at MK.

Do Crystal Palace for lunch or late breakfast - again a great place to cool off and relax (and sit) after an early MK morning. They have great bathrooms (even for diaper changing, if required).

If you kids like Mac & Cheese and a bit of ham or turkey - go to LTT for dinner - again do 4:30 or 5 pm.

If you can swing the cost (can be expensive) - I would suggest Coral Reef for lunch in EPCOT - fish tanks for the little ones to watch all around you. Among those you might see include: Brown Shark, Stingray, Grouper, Tarpon, and the Green Sea Turtle.

RELAX and enjoy - part of the fun of WDW is the planning :surfweb: and these boards :wizard:

I feel your anxiety...my trip is in May and I've already made a spreadsheet of all my ADR's along with an agenda!!! :embarassed:

Take a deep breath, blow it out, take another deep breath.....You'll be just fine, stressing out over eating, it will all fall into place when you get there. This is just my opinion, I just pick where I think I will like it. If I went by reviews, (which I used to and I ate at Cape May, it was the worse dinner of my stay in DW but people rave about how good it is, I wouldn't ever go there again if it was the last place in DW to eat) Just relax, do the places that serve the fare that you enjoy and if you like it great, if not dont go there agin, simple as that. Have a great trip

its funny, before I knew about the boards and the planning books I didn't worry about where we ate or how we did things. Heck, I didn't know that TA's could book packages for Disney until 1994!! Before that we did ourselves and stayed off property.

Since I've found the boards and all the books i feel like I have to be really prepared!!

JMCDisneyBound...I agree...as long as I'm not cooking it is good to me.

We are going to be on the dining plan so Coral Reef is on the list, as is CP and LTT (trying for that for Thanksgiving evening.)

My oldest has "issues" and so early mornings are way too difficult for us, so we ususally get started later in the morning and do the evenings better. But we still will try for early dinners so if the old one (grandma) and the youngone (DS 2.5) get tired and cranky we can let them leave early!!

Thanks for the support...I know it will get done and I'm hoping that we won't have any problems getting our choices.

Then I will have the next 6 months to pour over the books and decide the ride order we will do things :lmao: okay, so maybe not!
