I just checked the Disneyland calendar and it said that Haunted Mansion will be closed the entire time we will be there, which is Feb 7-14 and will reopen the 15th:headache: We might just add one more day to our trip just so we can see the HM. It's one of my favorite rides and so I'm pretty upset. I don't understand, it closes Jan 4th and will be closed until Feb 15th. That's just so long.:sad2: Why and what takes them so long?:confused3 I know that there is a lot to take down but, that sure is a long time to have it closed.:headache:

The HM did open a day early with the nightmare before Christmas overlay, so there is always a shot it'll open a bit early. That's a total bummer, though.

yeah, you may be lucky and be able to check out HM on a soft opening. So dont keep your hopes down!!! :)

It is where a ride is opened ahead of schedule, for a limited time, before fully re-opening.

Wow, that is a long time. They must be doing something besides removing the overlay. Here's hoping they open it a day early for you. :goodvibes pixiedust:

Is the calendar up for Feb. already? I was hoping to check on which rides will be closed when we go in Feb.

With any Disney park, there will be scheduled closures. On this last trip we just returned from 2 days ago, Disneyland had the following attractions down: Small World, Fantasmic, Aladdin, Electrical Parade, and the SunWheel.

We simply couldn't imagine Disneyland without the Aladdin show, Electrical Parade and Fantasmic as those are our favourite shows . . . but we opted to still go and enjoy ourselves.

Pixie Dust for HM reopening before you have to leave!! but if it was me, I'd just add another day! LOL :)

It would be great if you could just add another date. I agree with the pp's. :)

Im so sorry. That would be a dissapointing thing to miss, especially during the holiday. I would extend your trip if possible thats something you dont want to miss out on.

good luck.

I am hoping that it opens early for you as a dark spooky ride on valentine's day would be fun :) But I agree with pp's and would use that as an excuse to stay one more day! :)

Just FYI, the Electrical Parade only runs during the summer months and a couple weeks at Christmas.

OP, its ok to be disappointed, but don't let it make you angry or ruin what will be a great trip!

I know I shouldn't be mad but last year we missed the electrical parade (never have seen this) by one day and could not extend it because my vacation time was used up and this year we could extend our trip by one day but it might cost as much as an extra $300:eek: So we'll see what happens and what our finances look like after christmas. When it all comes down to it, I'm just happy I'm going. I just really wanted to see the haunted mansion just in it's regular atire. I also heard a rumor that POTC was going to be closed Feb 15th. (one day after we leave) Hopefully, they don't close it down before:rolleyes:

I like your tag line. I believe it is in reference to your cat? I love cats too. Especially horses, and that is how I feel as well, about my own. He had to be put to sleep, just a bit over three years ago, today. If I had my way, our pets would last as long as we do.

Yes, it was in reference to my sweet fur child. His name is Twinkie but my husband and I called him piggy because as you can see, he is very big boned;) I just can't find the courage to change my avatar. It's been up there since last December. When my husband and I came home from Disneyland the 14th of December, I walked in and saw him sitting in his favorite kitty bed that we had put on our couch for him, with his paws crossed and his eyes half open. Broke my heart!!!!!:sad1: :sad1: I felt soooooo horrible:sad1:and overwhelmed with guilt because we were not there when he died. I've never had a cat like him before and I still to this day, even at this moment, get teary eyed thinking about him because I miss him so much!:sad1: My mother in law checked on him 2 days before we came home and she said he was playing and running around the house all crazy playing with the other cats. He was old so, I guess it was his time to go.:sad1:

Oh I'm sorry!!! :( Don't change the picture, it brings you joy to see it. He's a beautiful kitty and you can tell he was very much loved by you. :)
