Okay, we first took our children to WDW last fall. Then, we couldn't wait to go back, so we went again in May. Now, I so regret that we went in May because now we can't go this fall.

I didn't like May as much. I thought the first week of May was going to be like fall. But, it was hotter and much more crowded.

Now, we have to wait until next fall and I don't think I can wait that looooooooooooooooong!!! :rotfl:

The only plus-side is that hopefully DS will be 40 inches by then. But, I'm still kicking myself because we could be leaving in a week to go again.

*SIGH*

Don't have trip remorse - you got to back to WDW! I think it's great to experience WDW in different seasons. We usually go in Oct or Dec but we went in May once when I had a conference there and the big thing we noticed was the sunrise and sunset - you don't realize how dark it is in the fall. You get so much more daylight in May!

My last trip was Dec 07 and now I'm going Oct 08 (in 3 days!) and I don't expect my next trip until Dec 09 (at the earliest) because of this whole going-to-have-a-baby-this-Dec thing. It's hard to be away so I sometimes take a DIS break and wait until I'm a little closer to trip time to get rev'd up again!

I agree with ducky4disney....dont have trip remorse....at least you got to go back.....My whole family went this past august and my sister, BIL, and niece and nephews were a drag the whole time. Sis said "they wont like that" so the kids didnt get to do alot.....really ticked me off and our whole trip was horrible....AND on top of that I dont get to go back until 2010!!!!!!

Just think of the money you can save by then!.....That's a plus!! You just never know what the temps will be like there-no matter what month. I thought Aug was going to be a disaster..I hate the heat...but it wasn't bad. Have gone in Dec & Jan & have great weather. Have friends that went at Christmas & they were looking for gloves there!!!!!

Be glad that you got that May trip in - the way the stock market is plunging at this moment, vacations might be the last thing on people's minds tomorrow morning...

When you consider the millions of people in the world who will never be able to take a WDW trip, especially in this economy, 3 trips in 2 years doesn't sound like a bad thing.

The wonderful thing about trip let down is you can always work on your photo albums and before long it will time to plan your next trip!

My DH & I never could afford to take our 5 children on vacation so in 2003 we took a cruise, just the 2 of us to see what it was like and if we thought the kids would like it. Well it was aweful for me I was sick most of the time.
Then we decided to do Disney in 05. I lovedit, DH loved it and the kids are still asking when can we go back. Planned trip for Sept 07 free dinning, reservations made for dinners, everything paid for then 2 weeks before set to leave DH was injuried on the job and we had to cancel.:guilty:
Thank God he is fine now but he was out of work for 10 months.
Ok so once he got back to work and we began to catch up I start planning this years trip. We were thinking of taking a Christmas in Disney vacation.
Then free dining was announced for visa card holders, which we are so things were looking good. Then BAM! 3 weeks ago I was laid off from work.
Things are just so tight right now, I don't know when we can go again.
My children were 15,13,12,10 & 7 the last time we took them.
If by any miricle we get to go back it wouldn't be until late next year or later ages 19,17,16,14, & 11, big difference.
They are all so bummed about last years trip and now knowing this years in also down the tubes is just such a huge dissappointment.
I can totally understand that you prefer going at a different time of year and you have the right to feel down about it but please remember that you are so lucky to have been able to go in the first place.
There are so many families like us that aren't so lucky.
The way I get through times like this , I tell myself it could be worse!
